Pennywise It Trailer

Clowns are pretty much at the top of the list of things to be afraid of. Though they can bring laughter with slapstick comedy, but one can’t get over the fact that there is something truly terrifying about them as well. Which is why coulrophobia — the fear of clowns — has been popularized in pop culture. And we owe a great deal of thanks to Pennywise from Stephen King‘s novel It for manifesting those fears of clowns.

And to top it all off, Will Smith has finally been confirmed as Genie. More on the story below.

The Lion King

As far as we know, Disney’s upcoming live-action iteration of The Lion King is in the very early stages of development. So early that they are still adding cast members as we speak. However, with the film expected to hit theaters just before the next D23 Expo, director Jon Favreau was kind enough to stop by this year’s D23 to provide a small sample of his vision for the new Lion King. And if you are a fan of the original film and his live-action take on The Jungle Book, then you will be pleased by the description we have to offer.

And it’s not the last time we will ever hear the phrase.

Case in point, Suicide Squad director David Ayer, who is walking away from the Scarface remake for that very reason. More on the story below.
