This past summer, Disney’s made a worthy attempt to bring the world of Roald Dahl’s The BFG to life with the help of Steven Spielberg. Though the adaptation didn’t meet box office expectations, that won’t stop the studio from exploring more of the author’s works. But this time, instead of looking for a new one, they will do some revisiting. According to a new report, Disney will be working on a live-action adaptation of James And The Giant Peach, with Sam Mendes, who directed the last two James Bond films, currently in early talks to develop and direct. A few months ago, in preparation for the arrival of the latest live-action version of Disney animated classic, The Jungle Book, the gang at Screen Junkies released an Honest Trailers for the 1967 original. Now, they’re back with an HT for Jon Favreau‘s live-action (but mostly CGI) version that is absolutely, without question, way, way better! Watch the video here below. From the often great (Iro Mman, Elf) to sometimes awful (Cowboys and Aliens) director Jon Favreau comes the best talking animal movie this year… in a year where one comes out almost every week. So after you’ve watched Disney’s live-action Cinderella, but before their live-action Pete’s Dragon and Beauty & The Beast comes a film better than the original cartoon, because it features… a plot! Part Lion King, part nature documentary, part kid-version of The Revenant“¦ (actual LOL) to that one.

Yes. Ben-Hur is indeed another remake in the long line of remakes. The original 1959 film starring Charlton Heston ended up winning 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It may seem difficult to follow that up with a remake of the film, but Timur Bekmambetov‘s telling doesn’t seem to have any intentions of doing that. Instead, Keith Clarke and John Ridley‘s adaptation of the 1880 novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ by Lew Wallace draws inspiration from the previous two big-screen films that came before it, while also being sold as a faith-based film. We were invited to sit down with a group of journalists to talk to Jack Huston, who plays the title character; Toby Kebbell, who plays Messala, Ben-Hur’s adoptive brother; and Morgan Freeman who plays Sheik Ilderim. The three talked about their experience on the set, the training they went through to prepare for the role, and the hesitations of remaking a classic. Check out the top five things you need to know about the film below.
