| James Bond Actor Sir Roger Moore Has Died At The Age Of 89
Sir Roger Moore, best known for playing James Bond, has passed away at the age of 89. The news was shared by Moore’s family, who says the actor passed away after a battle with cancer. The actor is one of the handful to portray Bond since the film series began in 1962, joined by Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and the most recent, Daniel Craig. Moore played Bond seven times from 1973 to 1985 in Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, and A View to a Kill. Only Connery has appeared in the role as many times, and no one has played Bond more than that.

| Soundgarden Singer Chris Cornell Has Died
Chris Cornell, who is best known as the frontman of Seattle grunge legends Soundgarden, died Wednesday night while on tour in Detroit, according to the AP. He was 52. No cause of death is known at this time, but Cornell’s representative told the AP that the musician’s death was “sudden and unexpected.” AP News is reporting that police are investigating his death as a possible suicide, stating there were “basic things observed at the scene” to warrant this. Cornell had performed with Soundgarden in Detroit, MI, that night, and was later found dead on the bathroom floor at the MGM Grand Detroit hotel.

Longtime character actor Michael Parks has passed away at the age of 77, his agent has confirmed. A cause of death has not yet been revealed. Parks appeared in a great number of things—over 145 credits to his name over the course of his 57-year career—but one needn’t look any further than Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill to know what kind of talent he was. In Tarantino’s two-part revenge epic, Parks played two very different characters: a Texas Ranger named Earl McGraw, and a Mexican pimp named Esteban Vihaio.

| ‘Silence Of The Lambs’ Director Jonathan Demme Dies At 73
The Academy Award winning director behind The Silence of the Lambs, Jonathan Demme, died today at the age of 73. A representative for the director said he passed away due to complications from esophageal cancer in his New York City apartment. Other directorial credits include Something Wild, Married to the Mob, Philadelphia, Beloved, The Manchurian Candidate (2004), Rachel Getting Married, and more recently Ricki and the Flash in 2015.
