Marvel’s Daredevil
Season 2 Episode 13
Created by Drew Goddard
Starring Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Elodie Yung
Netflix
Premiere date: Friday, March 18th, 2016 So much has happened so far in Daredevil. I feel like Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride; “Let me explain, no there is no time, let me sum up.” Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) accidentally figured out who The Blacksmith was, Frank’s former Colonel Ray Schoonover (Clancy Brown), but Frank (Jon Bernthal) interceded and followed his teacher’s advice, “one shot, one kill.” After dispatching him, he found a cache of military grade weaponry that reminded me of the wonderful scene in The Boondock Saints where the brothers arm themselves. Elektra (Elodie Yung) has been marked by Nobu (Peter Shinkoda) as the leader of The Hand; a job she resists by helping Daredevil and Stick fight them off. It’s time for the conclusion to season 2 of Daredevil, which is like the Super Bowl in that it’s exciting but there’s a sense of melancholy that after this, something you love will be gone for long time… Spoilers below for the season finale of Daredevil…

| New to Netflix April 2016: 2001, The Princess Bride, V For Vendetta, Boogie Nights
The time has come once again for that most hallowed and accessible of online streaming services known as Netflix to cut a few titles from its voluminous selection of films and television shows while adding many more guaranteed to please its subscriber base. Below you’ll find my picks for the best of Netflix’s new additions for the month of April 2016. As usual, most of the titles are available for viewing at the start of the month, but there are a few more set to premiere later in the month that those of us unable to get out to the movie theater much will find to be of great interest.

Marvel’s Daredevil
Season 2 Episodes 10-12
Created by Drew Goddard

Netflix
Premiere date: Friday, March 18th, 2016 This season… just unreal. I can’t think of a show outside of Dexter seasons 1-4 where every episode is better than the last. After the first half of the season, Daredevil had the hallway/staircase fight, the introduction of the incredibly sexy Elektra (Elodie Yung), and the balls to the wall insanity of Frank “the Punisher” Castle (Jon Bernthal). The second half of the season has more than kept up. The Hand has taken over as the primary villainous force, and Vincent D’Onofrio is back as Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk. And since season 2 has been stealing the thunder, all the greatest hits from season 1 are returning – Stick (Scott Glenn); Daredevil’s blind trainer, and Nobu, the ninja that nearly killed Matt last season. My mouth has continuously hit the floor, and I’m so close to the end that I’m starting to get upset at the thought of waiting a year for season 3. Spoilers below.

Premiere date: Friday, March 18th, 2016 Daredevil season 2 debuted a week before Batman V Superman is set to hit theaters, and while the TV superhero shows were on a brief hiatus. The definition of perfect timing, Daredevil is the talk of the watercooler, and with Netflix uploading shows all at once, the binger will have no crossover effect. And binge you should, because this is an absolutely epic season. Every time I think I’ve seen far and away the best episode, the next one starts and it’s a whole new level of “Holy Shit” and “Oh My God” and “Are you kidding me!?” We left off with The Punisher awaiting trial for his murders and Elektra causing all sorts of personal and professional issues for Matt “Daredevil” Murdock… Spoilers below.

Premiere date: Friday, March 18th, 2016 The arrest of Wilson Fisk left a power vacuum in Hell’s Kitchen. As Irish gang members meet to try to fill it, they are interrupted, to put it mildly, by a military style assault leaving all but one dead. Turns out, someone is hunting down gangs and street scum in the neighborhood. Sgt. Mahoney (Royce Johnson) even jokes that some cops think this mysterious gunman is making their lives easier. He even has a nickname… The Punisher. Spoilers below.
