| Disney In Depth: An Awesome Disney News Month
For years we have awaited 2015, a period that would produce so much awesome entertainment unlike no other. With Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tomorrowland, Pixar’s Inside Out and Star Wars: The Force Awakens on the short-term horizon on the film side, Disneyland’s 60th on the theme park side, and a variety of exciting television/digital projects to debut, Disney continues to demonstrate its power in the media world. Last week’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders revealed a few upcoming plans, complemented by a slew of headlines that have rocked the industry — and, most of all, rocked in a great way. Needless to say, there is likely no better time to be a Disney fan. At the very least, divisiveness acknowledged on some issues, we can have more substantial and more frequent discussions on Disney’s entertainment dominance and interesting avenues for extending its branding reach.

| Universal Studios’ ‘Fast & Furious – Supercharged’ Super Bowl Spot
Universal Studios has released the Super Bowl TV spot for Fast & Furious “” Supercharged, the theme park’s new thrill ride based on the Fast and Furious film franchise. The 30-second clip aired on television this afternoon during NBC’s Super Bowl Pre-Game coverage and is now online. Watch the new TV spot here below! The new Fast & Furious “” Supercharged feature, which will debut at Universal Studios Hollywood this Summer, will be the new grand finale for the California theme park’s popular backlot Studio Tour attraction and feature Fast and Furious franchise stars Vin Diesel (Dominic “Dom” Toretto), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce) and Luke Evans (Owen Shaw).

| Disney In Depth: Epcot’s Evolution, A One-Year Thesis Project
Twelve months in the making and one unforgettable experience, in November 2014 I completed an enriching project that catapulted my Disney fervor into something quite scholarly. As a student of Arizona State University’s Barrett, The Honors College, I was to spend two semesters developing a thesis on a subject of my choosing. What better way to combine entertainment and education than to add some fantastic flavor to an academic endeavor? An Epcot enthusiast, I realized I could translate my passion for the community-turned-theme park into a piece of research that would explore its evolution. More specifically, I wanted to identify the interrelations between technology and culture in this artificial, yet awesome environment. Thus I set off on a one-year journey that would be as amazing and personally fulfilling as venturing to Epcot for the first time some 15 years ago.

| Check Out Disney World’s ‘Frozen’ Gingerbread Display (Video)
Disney’s animated feature Frozen has taken the world by storm since its 2013 theatrical release, so it’s not surprising that the company is doing everything possible to populate the world with more Frozen. For example, there’s already plans for a new theatrical short, Frozen Fever; a Broadway musical; and a new attraction at Disney World’s Norway Pavilion at EPCOT to replace The Maelstrom. The Frozen characters already have a huge presence at Disney World, and now, they’ve been incorporated into Disney World’s Contemporary Resort’s massive Gingerbread display. Check out the video here below that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the Frozen display, which is just one of many Gingerbread showcases throughout the Florida theme park.
