Because, Awesome: Possibly The Best Arnold Schwarzenegger Impression You’ll Ever Hear

Arnold Schwarzenegger In The Last Stand

I tend to hate stand-up “comedians” whose hook is that they do impressions. For the most part, anyway. Every now and again someone comes along and does great things, but for the most part they’re usually lazy and unfunny, and the routine is a train wreck.

One of the most popular celebrities to impersonate is Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose thick accent leads many to believe that they become funnier by trying to sound like him. But then there’s someone like David Andrew Brent. Brent is also a stand up comedian and impressionist and voice actor, but it’s his Schwarzenegger that stands out. It’s not necessarily funny. Just really, really good.

X-Men: Days of Future Past Sentinel

A new viral website has gone live for Trask Industries, the fictional corporation from the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past headed by Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage), whose goal is to protect humans and their freedom from the ever-growing mutant threat with his creations, including the Sentinel program. The program, which was first launched in 1973, sees the mutant threat combated with 18-foot, nearly 5,000-pound artificial intelligence machines called Sentinels designed to destroy mutants.

The website gives us our first look at Dinklage as Trask, in all his ’70s glory, as well as loads of information on what the company does, why mutants are dangerous, and why you’re safe with Trask’s defense systems. Also found on the site are a video for the company and some cool images/propaganda posters, which can be seen below.

X-Men: Days of Future Past Trask Industries Sentinels

While 20th Century Fox has a panel scheduled at San Diego Comic-Con this Saturday, the studio has yet to reveal what they’ll be promoting that day in the convention center’s main auditorium, Hall H. But if you’re in the area of the convention center near the Hard Rock Hotel, you’ll see that Fox has an exhibit set up outside that features some viral marketing for their upcoming X-Men sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The exhibit is a booth for Trask Industries, creator of The Sentinels, the massive robotic mutant hunters and deadly foes of the X-Men. On display was Bolivar Trask’s “crowning achievement,” the original Sentinel Mark I production model. Around the booth were propaganda posters decrying that mutants as the enemy and showing off the Sentinel army as the way to fight the “mutant threat.”

You can see photos of the Sentinel head, along with the posters as well as the Trask Industries flyer given out at the exhibit.
