Educational. Informative. Funny as hell. What? Yes, you read that correctly. Educational television was never like this. Comical Psychosomatic Medicine, or Anime de Wakaru Shinryonaika, is a joyous romp through the world of mental disorders, from erectile dysfunction and voyeurism to panic attacks and anxiety disorder. At the Yuu Mental Clinic, psychologist Ryou Shinnai and staff nurse Asuna Kangoshi tackle a variety of mental disorders. Asuna generally plays comic foil to Dr. Shinnai’s attempts to explain the various maladies, and of course, things get out of hand with puns on terms such as “cognitive impairment” (Asuna pictures her grandfather surrounded by girls trying to get him to admit he’s the father of their children) and “rem sleep” (Asuna imagines “harem sleep” with her granddad dreaming about being surrounded by a harem of girls).

Unfortunately, the show was canceled too soon, and now he attends sci-fi conventions. Sound familiar?

Jeff 1000 Header

Hollywood has found its new leading man in the form of Jeff — an automotive assembly device turned 10-foot-tall robot. Jeff 1000 is a web-series from WIRED that focuses on a giant, insecure robot actor who is also best friends with Summer Glau.

Only three short episodes have aired so far, but the normalcy of the titular character and his chemistry with Glau — yes, I did say chemistry — make Jeff 100 quite the quirky series.

You can check out the web series below.

Characters like Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, and more might not be quite as healthy as you believe them to be while playing their games.

Below you can read more about the series, and check out the Commander Shepard episode, which also features appearances by Dovahkiin from Skyrim and Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series.
