On Saturday, Ash vs Evil Dead took over New York Comic-Con, where the cast appeared at the Hammerstein Ballroom for a panel. Stars Bruce Campbell, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, Arielle Carver-O’Neill, and Lindsay Farris treated fans to a special sneak peek of the season 3 premiere and more, before signing autographs and taking photos with fans back at the main convention center. I was able to join a press roundtable with the cast members, where they talked the series and their experiences on the upcoming season. Ray Santiago returned home to the big city for NYCC. A Bronx native, Santiago graduated from Fiorello LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts aka “The FAME School” in 2002 and has been acting ever since. As Pablo Simon Bolivar on AvED, he follows his “jefe” Ash through thick and thin. Last season was a long and brutal one for Pablo. First he was possessed by the Necronomicon, then he was slashed in half by the demon Baal. Thankfully resurrected for season 3, Ray Santiago sat down to talk about the upcoming season and the torture his character has gone through.

A gameplay trailer was released recently for Extinction, which sees you going head to head with some massive ogre monsters. The game, which is developed by Iron Galaxy and published by Maximum Games, is a third-person hack and slash in which you, while tiny compared to your ogre enemies, are able to move quickly and freely around the environment to help you in bringing them down. You can read more about Extinction and watch the gameplay trailer below, along with a bonus gameplay walkthrough from E3 2017 we weren’t able to get to at the time.

This past weekend, Ash vs Evil Dead took over New York Comic-Con, holding their panel at the Hammerstein Ballroom, where series stars Bruce Campbell, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, Arielle Carver-O’Neill, and Lindsay Farris treated fans to a special sneak peek of the season 3 premiere and conducted a panel discussion and Q&A, before greeting fans at the Javits Convention Center for autographs and photos. I had the chance to join over members of the press to speak with the cast members of the series about their experiences on the upcoming season. Dana DeLorenzo stars as Kelly Maxwell, my choice for most badass woman on TV. She can stand toe to toe with Ash Williams and match him insult for insult and one liner for one liner; and she loves nothing more than shooting deadites. We sat down with the Youngstown, Ohio native to talk about the upcoming season. When she sat down at the table, she warned us about her penchant for rambling on, slamming the table and talking loud, all things we were perfectly fine with her doing.

So far, 2017 has been yet another interesting year at the movies – plenty of record-smashing blockbusters, even more embarrassing flops and failed franchise starters, and some unique indies that always tend to fly under the radar. We still have a few more months to go and lots more to watch, both on the big screen, the small screen, and the even smaller screens of our desktops and laptops. The ride has yet to begin, I fear. Submitted for your approval, here are the top 10 best films I’ve seen to date this year. I still have many more to catch up, so good thing I have several streaming options that are really worth the money.

| Video: ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Friday The 13th Trailer Teaser
Netflix has released a Friday the 13th teaser for the highly anticipated upcoming second season of Stranger Things. The teaser is for the final season two trailer, which is set to be released tomorrow. Now in most cases I think trailers for trailers are ridiculous and wouldn’t waste your time with them. But this particular trailer tease is fittingly made in the same style as a trailer for one of the old Friday the 13th movies, and that’s pretty darn awesome. Click on over to the other side to check it out.
