Featurettes are a nice piece of marketing material that goes behind the scenes of your favorite films. And for Justice League, we are getting a look at the newest superhero ensemble and the person that helped bring them all together.

In what will probably the first of many, this featurette takes a look at the dynamics between members of the team, their motivation, history, and more. While there is not a whole lot of new footage to look at, it’s great to see that the cast has some chemistry with each other. Because they’ll need that with all the mixed reactions the trailers have been getting. Check out the latest Justice League featurette below.

This past weekend Ash vs Evil Dead took over New York Comic-Con. The Starz series, which will be heading into its third season in February, had a fan experience that was set up outside the Javits Center the entire 4 days, allowing fans to walk through a replica set and create GIFs of themselves fighting deadites. On Saturday, the show’s stars Bruce Campbell, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, Arielle Carver-O’Neill, and Lindsay Farris treated fans to a special sneak peek of the season 3 premiere, and conducted a panel discussion and Q&A, before heading back to the main convention center to sign autographs and taking photos with fans. During the convention, I got to speak to the cast members of the series about their experiences on the upcoming season.

Arielle Carver-O’Neill and Lindsay Farris are the two “newbies” on the show. Both native Aussies, Carver-O’Neill plays Brandy Barr, daughter of Candy Barr (Yep) and Ash (yes, she’s Ash’s daughter!), while Farris is Dalton, a descendant of the Knights of Sumeria who joins the Ghost Beaters and holds Ash in hero-worship. Just when you thought you would never see another book from the Enderverse, author Orson Scott Card surprises us all with not just a new book, but one with a definitive twist. Children of the Fleet is more than a spin-off or a sequel, it is a completely different perspective of events that unfolded in a previous novel.

The similarities are still there, of course that is to be expected. An exceptional child displaced, but amazing. This one, however, takes a turn for the unexpected, again and again. Our new protagonist is Dabeet Ochoa. He’s a headstrong boy of about ten who is exceptional in every way, including his massive ego. And while the Battle School from previous stories, beginning with 1985’s Ender’s Game, has morphed into the newly minted Fleet School, much has remained the same, including having one Hyrum Graff involved at every level.

Netflix has released a new trailer for their upcoming original series Mindhunter. The show is created by Joe Penhall (The Road) and executive produced by David Fincher (The Social Network, Fight Club) and Charlize Theron (Atomic Blonde, Mad Max: Fury Road).

Fincher also directed multiple episodes of the crime drama, a genre he’s of course no stranger to having previously directed titles like Se7en, Zodiac, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Gone Girl. Other directors include Asif Kapadia (Senna, Amy) and Andrew Douglas (2005’s The Amityville Horror).

Ryan Coogler continued the legacy of the Rocky films with Creed, a sequel that focused on Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan), the son of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), and his journey upward in the world of boxing with Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) acting as his mentor. The film helped Stallone get nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, and soon enough there was interest in a sequel.

Now it looks like they found their director. Stallone, who helped bring the Rocky franchise to life as well as reinvigorate it with his performance in Creed, will direct Creed 2. More on the story below.
