| ‘Wonderstruck’: Trailer For Adaptation Of Brian Selznick Book Released
A trailer has been released for Wonderstruck, an upcoming feature from Amazon Studios and Roadside Attractions based on author Brian Selznick‘s novel of the same name. Starring in the movie is Michelle Williams, Julianne Moore, Oakes Fegley, and Millicent Simmonds, with Academy Award nominee Todd Haynes (Carol, I’m Not There) directing. | Pilot Episode For ‘Watchmen’ TV Series Ordered By HBO
In 2015 it was reported that HBO was considering a TV series based on the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons graphic novel Watchmen. Then, earlier this year in June, we found out that LOST and The Leftovers co-creator Damon Lindelof was in talks to work on the potential series. Now comes word that things have taken another step toward the series becoming a reality. HBO has put in an order for a pilot episode of the series, and they’ve also commissioned more scripts. In addition to that, a writer’s room for the series has also begun work on the show.

When Warner Bros. announced a Flashpoint film as a part of their DCEU slate, it meant that their comic book movie universe could be in for a change. In the comics, Flashpoint is the result of Flash going back in time to rescue his mother only to find out that time has changed in the present. Meaning that he didn’t have his powers, Thomas Wayne became the Batman as the result of his son dying, and the entire world is at war with Themyscira and Atlantis. Now there’s a rumor that Wonder Woman could be appearing in the Flashpoint movie. Find out more on this story below.

| ‘Who Fears Death’: HBO Developing Post-Apocalyptic Drama Based On Nnedi Okorafor Novel
HBO is developing a potential new drama series titled Who Fears Death based on author Nnedi Okorafor‘s novel of the same name, with Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin executive producing as part of his overall deal with HBO. The story is set in post-apocalyptic Africa, and mixes in some fantasy elements as well.
