We’ve reached the penultimate episode of Preacher Season 2 on AMC and what a long strange trip it’s been. Our heroes were stalked by The Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish) from the opening scenes, dealt with fallen angels in the Mumbai Sky Tower, and are dealing with an organization bound to preserve Christ’s lineage, The Grail. Jesse (Dominic Cooper) faces a difficult question, should he continue his fruitless search for God”¦ or use Genesis to become God himself. Herr Starr (Pip Torrens), leader of The Grail wants him to do that, especially after introducing him to the Messiah “Humperdoo.” Jesse’s quest has put distance between him and Tulip (Ruth Negga) who is getting closer and closer to Jenny, aka Lara Featherstone (Julie Ann Emery) of The Grail. Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) isn’t around to help the “Padre” either, dealing with a newly turned vampire son. Meanwhile, Eugene (Ian Colletti) and Hitler (Noah Taylor) are trying to find a backdoor out of Hell”¦

Han Solo: Paul Bettany To Replace Michael K. William In ‘Star Wars’ Spinoff

Ron Howard and Paul Bettany On Han Solo Set

You have to hand it to Ron Howard for handling the Han Solo Star Wars spinoff as well as he is. For one thing, he is a bit more transparent, giving fans a look at everything that is going on behind the scenes, even he is releasing meaningless photos of craft food services. But for what it’s worth we are getting better looks at the set than we ever did before. But these reshoots have forced Michael K. William‘s character to be cut out of the entire film. While we knew he would have played “a half-human, half-animal” who was a “kick-ass character,” cutting his character seemed to indicate it wasn’t of major significance.

However, it appears that the character does hold some weight in the film. So much so that Howard turned to a reliable friend to act as William’s replacement. With a few caveats of course. That actor is a Beautiful Mind star Paul Bettany, whom you may know as Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More on the story below.

Plastic Movies Rewound: The Story Of The '80s Video Boom

It’s remarkable that we live in a world in which there’s countless movies and TV shows available to watch at the simple click of a button. It’s also exciting to see movies looking better than ever on Blu-ray and now 4K Ultra HD. But for some people, myself included, nothing will ever replace the joy of going to the neighborhood video store, walking past rows and rows of VHS covers, and choosing a few to take home, crack open, and pop in the old VCR. If you’re one of those people, you might just be interested in Plastic Movies Rewound: The Story of the ’80s Video Boom—though be warned: there’s a dark, shady area beneath all of those happy memories you have…something this documentary series explores.

Plastic Movies Rewound dives deep into the history of the days of Betamax, VHS, video stores, and much more. We here at Geeks of Doom have an exclusive extended clip from the series to share with you, titled “The Bad Ol’ Days,” which can be found along with more information below.

WB Looking At Leonardo DiCaprio To Play Joker

“You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.” That Leonardo DiCaprio quote could be applied to the Joker origins film we found out about recently. When it was announced, I was curious at how a film that is separate from the DCEU could work. And did anyone really need a Joker film.

But now comes word that Warner Bros. is actually looking at DiCaprio to potentially fill the lead role. Considering that Martin Scorsese is producing, and the actor has appeared in five of his films, this couldn’t be a more perfect pairing. More on the story below.
