| Watch Now: The First ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer Has Landed |
 |

The first teaser trailer for the Zack Snyder-directed, Christopher Nolan-produced Superman reboot Man of Steel premiered in theaters this week in front of Nolan’s final Bat-film The Dark Knight Rises. Bootleg copies quickly made their way online, but today the trailer has been officially released to the interwebs for your viewing pleasure. You can watch the trailer here below. [Update: There’s actually two versions of the trailer, both are below. One has Jonathan Kent’s narration; the other is by Jor-El.] This trailer isn’t as revealing as the footage that played at the movie’s Comic-Con panel this year (check out Stoogeypedia’s coverage of the panel here); new Supes Henry Cavill is all over the preview, fishing and looking mighty scruffy, and Kevin Costner (as Pa Kent) provides narration and can be briefly glimpsed in a photo. We don’t get to see Cavill in full-on Man of Steel mode until the trailer’s (literally) soaring final seconds. Howard Shore’s music from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring provides the soundtrack for this clip.

| ‘The Master’ Trailer: Joaquin Phoenix Has Wandered From The Path
The last trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson‘s The Master centered on a wayward soldier Freddie Sutton (played by Joaquin Phoenix) being interrogated by a superior officer. This was a set up that would lead Phoenix to become a second-in-command to a religion recreated by Lancaster Dodd (Philip Seymour Hoffman). Now, a new trailer has popped up online that vaguely traces those events that lead up to the two crossing paths. You can watch the new trailer below. Once again, Phoenix delivers a chilling performance as a man who was once lost finding his path via Dodd’s new faith based organization. The trailer gives somewhat equal time to both Hoffman and Phoenix. We see the two have a tense conversation. We even get to see an exchange between Mary Sue (Amy Adams) and Sutton.

| Warner Bros. Unveils The Official ‘Man of Steel’ Logo
Other than an image released last year of Henry Cavill looking mighty Kryptonian, there hasn’t been much seen on the promotional front for Man of Steel, the Zack Snyder-directed reboot of the Superman movie franchise. Now, Warner Bros. has released the film’s official logo. You can check out the image here below. While there will probably never be a better Superman movie in my lifetime than the 1978 epic original directed by Richard Donner that cast the late Christopher Reeve in the role that would come to define his career (and in a sense his life), I am looking forward to seeing how Snyder, co-writers David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, producer Christopher Nolan, and their amazing cast attempt to make the Last Son of Krypton a 21st century badass to compete on the big screen with his DC brother Batman and the Mighty Marvel Movie Bullpen.
