| ‘Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes’ Bear Hunt TV Spot (Video)
This summer, the apes will return in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the upcoming sequel to 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The spread of the Simian Flu led to the ruin of major cities like New York, San Francisco, and London and the downfall of humankind, and now a war between the surviving humans and a race of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar (played via mo-cap by the Andy Serkis) is about to begin. A new 1-minute TV spot for the film called “Bear Hunt” has been released and you can check it out here below. Also, you can get ready for the upcoming film by reading its prequel novel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Firestorm, which was recently released in paperback and Kindle formats. Directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) and starring Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Judy Greer, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes open in theaters on July 11, 2014.

A pair of actresses have joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII, the next installment in the franchise being directed by J.J. Abrams. The first actress is Lupita Nyong’o, who recently took a big step into the spotlight by winning an Oscar for her supporting role in 12 Years a Slave. The second actress is Gwendoline Christie, who is best known for her role as Brienne of Tarth on HBO’s Game of Thrones.

During Sunday’s season finale of The Walking Dead, viewers got another tantalizing glimpse at this summer’s super simian sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in the form of the film’s first television spot. So what makes this spot worth watching? Three words: APES ON HORSEBACK! I fell in love the moment a massive gate opened to show us ape leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) and some of his loyal followers sitting atop noble steeds and geared up for some serious stuff to start. The visual effects work in this film could do the unthinkable and easily surpass the technical accomplishments of 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes. You can check it out here below.
