| Real Or Fake: ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Viral Videos Hint At Arkham Asylum Breakout |
|
A few new short videos have hit the web, and they have people trying to figure out whether they’re part of Warner Brothers’ viral marketing campaign for director Christopher Nolan‘s massive trilogy-maker, The Dark Knight Rises, or if they’re just a crafty fan helping to add some buzz to the movie. All three videos were posted on YouTube by a user called The Fire Rises, which is the same name on Twitter that revealed the first image we saw of Tom Hardy as Bane not too long ago. Each video is very chaotic and hard to follow, but they do suggest that there has been a massive breakout at the infamous Arkham Asylum, and that anarchy now reigns. All three videos also use that haunting chant we heard on the official Dark Knight Rises website…which, interestingly enough, doesn’t seem to be there anymore. You can see all three videos for yourself by clicking on over to the other side now, and let us know whether you think they’re real (and effective), or completely fake.

| Watch Now: ‘Arkham City’ Game Play Trailer |
By Merkader
| March 19th, 2011 at 3:50 pm |
The first trailer to feature game play from the upcoming sequel to Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, was recently released. It’s posted below so you can take a peek for yourself. The game play looks very similar to the first game, but way more open. It almost looks as if they took the wide open space that was between the sections of Arkham Asylum and made the game to be like that section, which is fine by me as that was my favorite section in which to play. You get to see Two Face in the trailer, as well as Harley and Cat Woman. It appears that you have to team up with Cat Woman, at least for a bit, as it shows in the trailer Batman saving her from a sniper’s bullet. It also seems that “detective mode” is returning to the game. I just hope they found a way to balance it a bit better so you don’t spend the whole game in that mode so you can see heartbeats.

| Rumors For Your Thought: Will We See The Riddler & Arkham Asylum In ‘The Dark Knight’ Sequel? |
|
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, now that it has been confirmed that The Dark Knight scribes Jonathan Nolan and David Goyer are working on a script that will eventually turn into Batman 3, the rumors will begin flowing like the booze of a father mercilessly dragged to a Jonas Brothers concert by his daughters. While rumors are usually B.S. created simply in hopes of stealing attention and hits to ones website location, sometime they come from an actual source, and these are the rumors that come with just a little chance of actually being true as night time blackness. In the case of this particular rumor, everything sounds like it would make sense and nothing is absurd and over-the-top. This information is actually a couple of weeks old, as well, but since its first running, some positive updates have come around and supported the claims, leading myself to think there could actually be some truth going on here. Click on over to find out what might be going on when Batman 3 reaches our eyes.

| Video Game Awards ’09: ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum 2’ Trailer |
|
Spike TV held their annual Video Game Awards last night, and while the awards portion of the show was pretty forgettable, there were bright spots. These bright spots came in the form of a collection of new and sometimes unexpected video game teaser trailers being debuted during the program. One of the bigger surprises of the night came in the very beginning of the show when a mysterious giant box appeared on the stage and a creepy, high-pitched voiced screeched out through the venue as dangerous green gasses were leaked out the box. It wasn’t long before it clicked that the voice belonged to none other than The Joker as voiced by fan-favorite Mark Hamill. This was the introduction of a new cinematic trailer that featured both Harley Quinn and Joker. It was obvious that it was for Batman: Arkham Asylum, but it was not clear whether it was for new DLC content or an actual sequel. A sequel, so soon? Can’t be! Well, as it turns out — it is indeed for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, and you can now watch the trailer on the other side. As with most of these, it is just a brief teaser trailer, but considering the surprise, it’s still fun stuff. The end also points you in the direction of the game’s new website Arkham Has Moved, which also has the trailer and a place to register for updates.
