| James Cameron Says ‘Avatar’ Sequels Will Make You “S*** Yourself”
Most of the time when we are told that a movie will blow us away by its director, it tends to be a bit of an overblown reaction. Maybe their expectations are too high or it’s just another marketing strategy to get people to watch the film. But for James Cameron there is a specific reason for him to get audiences amped up. Especially for a film like Avatar. Now, Avatar isn’t universally loved by all, but a lot of people can agree that the visuals set the standard for high quality visual effects and has done so much for motion capture technology. Cameron is currently working on three Avatar sequels, but production for those films have yet to start. While we wait for cameras to roll, the director is speaking out about what we will see, and according to him, we will “shit” ourselves. He also addressed the frame rate for the film. | James Cameron Says Stephen Lang Will Be Back For ‘Avatar’ Sequels
Director James Cameron says Stephen Lang, the actor who played Colonel Miles Quaritch in 2009’s Avatar, will return for the sequels. All three of them, which Cameron plans to shoot together and begin releasing in 2016. Quaritch is one of the villains in the original movie who leads the private security team tasked with protecting and clearing the way for the company mining valuable natural resources from the moon named Pandora, which causes damage to the lands of the Na’vi, a humanoid species that makes their home on the moon.

| James Cameron To Shoot Three ‘Avatar’ Sequels Back-To-Back; ‘Avatar 2’ To Release In 2016
Yesterday, we learned that Terminator: The Sarah Chronicles creator Josh Friedman was tapped to write the sequel to James Cameron‘s long-gestating sequel to Avatar. This was the first real sign that production was moving forward for the film. Now comes word that Cameron isn’t only bringing in Friedman, but multiple other screenwriters to work on not one, but three sequels. Avatar 2, Avatar 3, and Avatar 4 will be shot simultaneously starting next year, and Avatar 2 will hit theaters December 2016.

| James Cameron Grabs ‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’ Creator To Write ‘Avatar 2’
James Cameron wrote and directed 2009’s Avatar, which would go on to become the biggest box office movie of all time, so you would expect him to also write and direct the long awaited sequel, Avatar 2. But it appears that Cameron will instead have others pen the follow-up, or at least work with him in crafting a draft or two. According to a source close to Fox, Cameron has brought in Josh Friedman to work on the script for the sequel. Friedman created the Fox TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles—based on the Terminator movie franchise, of which Cameron directed the first two installments — and has also worked on the screenplays for Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds and The Black Dahlia, as well as the teleplay for the Locke & Key series that never came to be.
