Release date: November 21, 2012
Cover price: $3.50 The story of Lord Henry Baltimore, the title character in the aptly named comic book Baltimore, is a horrifically tragic tale. Lord Baltimore was a captain in World War I. He led a battalion into battle only for everyone to be slaughtered, except Lord Baltimore. On the brink of death and very badly wounded, Lord Baltimore awakes to witness giant bat creatures eating the remains of his comrades. One of the monstrous bats attempts to eat Lord Baltimore. Baltimore slashes the creature’s right eye out, scarring it. In return, the creature slices at Lord Baltimore’s left leg, mangling it. The creature that Lord Baltimore blinds is so furious about losing his eye, that he unleashes a plague upon warring Europe. Little does anyone know that the plague is an indirect form of vampirism. Those unfortunate to be infected, rise up and become vampires. After being saved and having his leg amputated and replaced with a wood jointed peg, Lord Baltimore returns home to find his family is dead from the plague, and his wife is murdered by Haigus, the Red King vampire, the vampire bat who attacked Baltimore and the reason behind the mysterious plague.

Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: June 20, 2012
Cover Price: $3.50 I’m a big fan of the first two Baltimore miniseries that Dark Horse has released and I’m just as much of a fan of the first issue of the next entry in the series, Baltimore: Dr. Leskovar’s Remedy. This is just a two-parter between larger minis, and this issue gives a good look at what the series is all about. The basic premise of Baltimore is that during World War I, a plague broke out that caused an outbreak of vampirism. The rise of these new vampires awoke some older vampires who had been sleeping for a long time. One of these older vampires attacks a certain Lord Baltimore and his family. However, Baltimore survives and swears vengeance against the vampire who ruined his life. Now, Baltimore travels Europe, seemingly always one step behind the target of his revenge.

| The GoD List: Comics For June 20, 2012 |
|
Each and every week “Americana Assassin” MK2Fac3 and “Midwest Marauder” Henchman21 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of their pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of June 20, 2012. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. Whhaaaaat?!!? You remember me, right? Well, I apologize for the lack of fac3 (faceless?) time on these here websites. A lot has changed recently and Tuesdays and Wednesdays have become even busier for me recently, what with the new job and all… (pausing for congratulatory high fives), so I’ve been away for like a week or something and some have said that I phoned in the previous week’s, but to those people (HENCHMAN!!!), I say this, “I’m back, BABAY!” And there have been some truly amazing comic books over the last few weeks. Did you guys read Creator Owned Heroes? I may be jumping the gun a little bit since it’s only been one issue, but I honestly think it could be a game changer. And while this week may not be jam packed full of potential game-changers, there’s some really good stuff to look forward to. So, follow me past the break, so that we can talk about all the great comics that are coming out this week. This is The GoD List, after all.
