Now that James Bond 25 has a release date and Daniel Craig reportedly in line to return as the headlining agent, Eon Productions and MGM can focus on finding a director for the film. And as luck would have it, they are looking at three names. According to various reports, Yann Demange, Denis Villeneuve, and David Mackenzie are among the top names to direct the film. James Bond’s return to the big screen is pretty much inevitable. Though the franchise has hit a few speed bumps in the past few years, its new direction with Daniel Craig as 007 was a darker turn for the character. Still, it wasn’t quite clear if Craig would reprise his leading role, seeing how Spectre was one of the weakest films of the entire franchise. However, EON Productions has announced a new release date for James Bond 25, and there are unconfirmed reports that Daniel Craig will indeed return to reprise the role. More on the story below.

Now that Daniel Craig doesn’t seem to be the least bit interested in reprising his role as James Bond, Eon Productions and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are now combing through a list of actors to take the title of 007. As you can imagine, choosing an actor to play such a role is very delicate. But one of the frontrunners named, by the fans, was Tom Hiddleston. If he did join, he join a long list of actors to play James Bond ranging starting from Sean Connery, then moving onto David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and most recently Craig.

Craig, recently turned down a $100,000,000 offer to reprise James Bond for a final 2-picture deal, and with that it mind, it seems that despite a few denials, a new rumor has popped up saying Hiddleston’s name has reemerged to the forefront.
