Brad Pitt in War Machine

Yes, you read that correctly. No, it’s not the War Machine that you are probably thinking of. This is Brad Pitt‘s War Machine, a satrical comedy from David Michôd (Animal Kingdom). Based on the nonfiction bestseller The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan, by late journalist Michael Hastings, Pitt will play a four-star military general who is modeled after Stanley McChrystal.

World War Z starring Brad Pittt

Mounting production problems surrounding World War Z didn’t stop the Brad Pitt-starring film from being one of the biggest surprises of 2013. Of course when you beat expectations by grossing $540 million worldwide, a sequel would obviously be under consideration.

Adam McKay Image

Adam McKay isn’t one to shy away from comedies that address current events. The Other Guys centered on Ponzi schemes and made an effort to address those issues in the end credits. So now after writing and directing Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and writing the script for Ant-Man based on Edgar Wright’s story, McKay is setting his sights on the housing and credit bubble of the 2000s that eventually led to the financial crisis in 2007-2010. The film will be called The Big Short.

Based on Michael Lewis‘s (Moneyball) The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine, the film has already cast Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, and Christian Bale. According to reports, this is somewhat of a passion project for Pitt, who has been avidly pursuing to get it into production. Hit the jump for more.

Brad Pitt Kirsten Dunst Interview With The Vampire

When Interview With The Vampire hit theaters back in 1994, my young self couldn’t get enough of long-haired Brad Pitt as the vampire Louis. There was one scene where the young Kirsten Dunst gets to kiss Brad Pitt and I remember thinking of the 11-year-old actress, that lucky bitch.

It’s 20 years later, and Dunst recently told Conan O’Brien on Conan that that kiss was her very first one, but that at that age, she thought it was “icky” (!!!!!).

Watch the video interview here below.
