| Scream Awards 2011: See David Hasselhoff In The ‘Piranha 3DD’ Teaser Trailer
At the Spike TV 2011 Scream Awards, Piranha 3D won the award for Most Memorable Mutilation for the scene where the girl gets scalped alive by a motorboat. To accept the award was none other than Scalped Alive By Motorboat Girl herself, a massive digitally projected talking head which arose from the pool of water on stage, who, while honored and excited to accept the award, went on to introduce the world premiere of the teaser trailer for Piranha 3D. Watch the teaser trailer here below.

| Christopher Lloyd Returns As Doc Brown For Argentinian Electronics Store Commercial
Christopher Lloyd has decided to reprise his greatest role as an actor in one of the most unusual of all venues. Reverend Jim from Taxi? No. Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Try again. That exposition-spouting weirdo from Piranha 3D? Three strikes and YER OUT!!!! No, Lloyd has returned to his role as Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown from the immortal Back to the Future trilogy, but this time he won’t be joined on his adventure by Michael J. Fox. He’s not even doing this for a movie. Lloyd is playing the good yet kooky scientist and inventor of the flux capacitor (which makes time travel possible, naturally) in a new commercial for Garbarino’s, an electronics store chain in Argentina. You can watch the full commercial here below.

| Go See Christopher Lloyd On The Big Screen In ‘Insight’ |
 |

I don’t know about you, but if I see the name Christopher Lloyd on a movie, I’m watching it. This weekend, Lloyd’s new film InSight will be released in limited theaters, and also stars Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints), Adam Baldwin (Firefly), Natalie Zea (Justified), Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie), and Veronica Cartwright. You can check out the trailer here below for the film, directed by Richard Gabai, but I’ll be honest — the trailer doesn’t do the movie justice. Matter of fact, it plays like a Funny or Die parody of a psychological paranormal thriller. So, maybe skip the trailer and just go by who’s actually in the movie. Oh, and the story, story is important too: an ER nurse (Zea) gets zapped while trying to revive a dying woman who’s been stabbed. She then immediately gets the woman’s memories; of course, everyone thinks she’s nuts now and she’s basically going nuts because she’s got this other chick’s memories taking over her brain. So, understandably, she sets out to solve the crime on her own and then luckily the detective on the case (Flanery) teams up with her. Lots of crazy shit happens and there’s stuff about life to be learned too, and apparently, about the dangers of defibrillators.

RELEASE DATE: January 11, 2011 Back in 1975, Steven Spielberg’s Jaws struck pure fear into the souls of moviegoers, creating a phobia of the ocean in many people who saw it. Obviously over the years we’ve learned through countless nature docs and Shark Week binges that sharks — dangerous as they might be — aren’t quite the man-eating monsters we all thought they were. Even so, the recipe behind Jaws is pretty failproof, and it makes sense for filmmakers to use the same basic foundation for other films. Enter Piranha, a remake of the 1978 movie of the same name that uses just this very same formula. During Spring Break in the town of Lake Victoria, Arizona, an earthquake opens a giant crack in the bed of the lake, creating entrance to a whole new section that had been locked away for millions of years. Even worse, a breed of prehistoric piranhas have thrived in this underwater tomb all along, and when the earthquake gives them access to the surface once again, they come out in droves seeking blood.
