Stevie Nicks, the singer/songwriter who has thrilled and delighted legions of fans for over 40 years now by way of her stint in Fleetwood Mac and her also successful solo career, now has a documentary on the process of making her album, entitled Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams, available now for instant digital download on iTunes and through On Demand.

The Grammy-winning and legendary artist, responsible for so many chart successes and radio hits with Fleetwood Mac like “Rhiannon,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Gypsy,” “Landslide,” and songs like “Stop Dragging My Heart Around” as a solo act, still tours and is still regarded as one of the top-shelf musicians of that genre of all time. Her fan base still boils over today with a passion and fervor for her, she gives off the kind of heat and adoration which many of her audience (especially women), still absorb. She’s kind of a hero, muse, and inspiration all at once to them, in her style, her slapdash, post-hippie, post-Janis Joplin kind of fashion sense, and her art.

Cartoon Network’s late night Adult Swim line-up is one of the precious few reasons I still bother having a cable box in my home these days. Within their nightly live-action and animated programming block can be found some of the funniest and imaginative writing and performances to ever be seen on television, along with reruns of Family Guy and American Dad.

The network shrewdly combines more accessible fare like Robot Chicken, Childrens Hospital, and NTSF:SD:SUV with boldly bizarre, short-lived experiments (they really should bring back The Heart, She Holler) to maintain their healthy fanbase and serve as a wonderland of creative freedom. They show no signs of letting up any time soon, and in fact Cartoon Network just released a list of new shows and pilots they have in development for Adult Swim in the coming year.

Conan the Barbarian #15 is, unfortunately, the first issue in quite some time that I haven’t enjoyed more than the previous installment. I wish I could explain why, but I really can’t.

Brian Wood does a fantastic job, as usual, writing this issue, but there’s just something lacking from previous issues. I think it’s just the rare issue wherein it’s a pretty boring chapter of a good story. And when the rest of the story has been so good and exciting, this slow act, really grinds to a halt. It’s Belit’s origin story, which again, should be really good, but it’s not. Don’t get me wrong, this issue isn’t awful, it’s just not aweSOME. I’m sure Wood will be back on track with the next issue.

Once again, Dark Horse Comics has given Geeks of Doom exclusive access to five great new comics coming in May and June. And you know what? We want to give you a sneak peek, too! Because trust me, these are some great books here. Check out all five covers here below!

First off, releasing on May 29, is King Conan: Hour of the Dragon #2 (of 6). This second installment in the adaptation of Robert E. Howard‘s only actual Conan novel is sure to please. I know the cover by Gerald Parel definitely gets you interested with that vicious claw reaching forth towards our hero. Then, just in case you didn’t get your Cimmerian fix with that one, we have Conan the Barbarian #17 arriving on June 19 with a wonderful aquatic cover by Massimo Carnevale (I loved his Orchid covers, too).

But the big release day is June 26! Showing off the Shu Yan cover to Akaneiro #2 (of 3), I find myself really interested in this set. Look how kickass she looks! Remember, this is based upon the new release from Spicy Horse Games (be sure to check that out, too). Next up is a comic that originally debuted in Dark Horse Presents: Amala’s Blade #3 (of 4) has a very eye-catching cover from Michael Dialynas. Although I know next to nothing about this miniseries, the sheer quantity of skulls in the art gets my attention. And last, but certainly not least, we get to show you Mind MGMT #12. MTV Geek named this comic one of the top ten comics in 2012. I’m impressed with this series across the board, especially since Matt Kindt is the only person working on this book…yeah, that’s right, he does it all!

Baltimore: The Widow and the Tank

The story of Lord Baltimore is set during the post-World World I era and centers on the former British soldier turned monster hunter’s obsession with Haigus, an ancient vampire who set a plague upon Europe and ruined Baltimore’s life. In The Widow and the Tank, a 2-story one-shot, Lord Baltimore travels to Londonshire, England to interview a confirmed dead soldier who has somehow returned home to his wife (in “The Widow”), and then to the Aquitaine region of France, to a field of beautiful red flowers littered with the skeletal remains of what he believes to be vampire victims, where he discovers something more disturbing than the vampires he loathes (in “The Tank”).

Baltimore, who you’ll recognize from his wooden peg leg and trusty harpoon, has nothing to live for, except to eradicate Haigus and his preternatural creations, which is why he consistently puts himself in harm’s way to confront these deadly creatures. Sometimes he’s striking down all undead in his path with his aforementioned and frequently bloodied harpoon, as well as with his guns, knives, swords, and other weaponry strapped to his back; other times, he’s an angel of mercy. But in the end, his mission is clear: find Haigus and kill him.
