Watch ‘Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse’ Trailer!
Once in a while the zombie apocalypse gets a comedic twist (Shaun of the Dead), which is something a bit refreshing considering the genre’s subject matter (a group of survivors forced to work together against a hoard of zombies). Paramount has just released the first trailer for Christopher Landon‘s Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse, starring Tye Sheridan (The Tree of Life, X-Men: Apocalypse), David Koechner (Anchorman, Piranha 3DD), Logan Miller (Night Moves, The Stanford Prison Experiment), Halston Sage (Neighbors, Paper Towns), Joey Morgan, Patrick Schwarzenegger (Grown Ups 2, Dear Eleanor), and Cloris Leachman (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Young Frankenstein).

“By the hymen of Olivia Newton-John!”
2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is, without question, one of the funniest comedies of all time. If it were a hiney, it would be absolutely breathtaking.
With absurd, quote-worthy dialogue and hyper-masculine, mustachioed man-children, Adam Mckay and Will Ferrell‘s 2004 film is a cult classic.
In Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the Dynamic Duo of Dick Jokesâ„¢ have made a sequel so batshit crazy, so marvelously idiotic, that comparisons to the first film are nigh impossible. This exercise in insanity feels more like a B-side to Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie, that bizarro bonus movie assembled from Anchorman‘s abandoned subplots and alternate takes. To put it bluntly, this movie is fucking nuts.

The four dots are meant to represent dramatic pauses. Work with me here, people.

When I saw that a new trailer for Anchorman 2 had hit today I tracked it down with the hope that we would finally get a first look at scenes from the sequel that has been in the works in one form or another for nearly a decade. No go friends. Instead we once again get the Channel 4 News Team – lead anchorman Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), field reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), sports anchor Champ Kind (David Koechner), and weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carrell) – giving direct-to-camera quips, showing us that the team chemistry is still there despite having been mothballed since Bush II ran for reelection.
