Doctor Who Season 8 Episode 3 Robot Of Sherwood The Doctor Peter Capaldi

James Gunn‘s The Suicide Squad is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting DC Extended Universe films. The film will bring back some original characters like Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as squad leader Rick Flag, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

And, of course, there are the newcomers to the cast like Idris Elba, who is playing a role that has yet to be named. But he isn’t the only one new to the cast. Actors jumping between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe isn’t anything out of the ordinary. In fact, it happens at the creative level as well, with James Gunn being one of the most recent directors to helm titles in both universes. Now, another filmmaker and actor has joined him, but just for a starring role.

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is said to be joining the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy director Gunn’s DC project The Suicide Squad, where he will appear alongside the likes of returning stars from the first movie such as Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Viola Davis. Well now, Affleck’s Live by Night cinematographer Robert Richardson is talking about how the film was supposed to be. Check out what he had to say here below.

In an interview with HappySadConfused podcast (via The Playlist), Richardson spoke about the defunct film’s setting.

The Flash Starring Ezra Miller

Development on WB’s long-gestating standalone superhero film The Flash seemed to be going nowhere fast. Especially after John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein exited the project.

Batman

Origin stories may be a thing of the past. Most moviegoers do not want to have to sit through the same old reasons some tragedy helps a person become the titular hero. And it looks like we won’t see that in Matt ReevesThe Batman.

According to new reports, the film, which is currently in development and has just signed on Robert Pattinson to play Batman, will center on the Dark Knight’s formative years as a hero as opposed to retreading familiar ground. More on the report below.
