Alien: Isolation E3 2014 Trailer

We’ve already seen more than enough to be excessively excited about Alien: Isolation, but some of the team from developer Creative Assembly paid a visit to E3 2014 to show off some new gameplay goodness to help you maintain maximum excitement until the game is released on October 7th.

From the start, one of the big selling points of the game was that it was not your typical run-and-gun Alien game where you’d constantly be firing weapons at attacking Xenomorphs. Instead, the focus was on stealth and survival and avoiding the alien creature at all costs. But that doesn’t mean that Isolation is without combat completely, as you might have thought. In addition to the alien, there’s also other humans and the androids known as Synthetics—some of which will be helpful, others neutral, and some will be hostile, forcing you to defend yourself.

In the gameplay demo brought to E3, you’ll see a bit of the combat and weaponry you’ll have to fight off attackers or possibly try to deter the alien itself, as well as plenty of the stealth options players will be using. You can watch that video as well as a new trailer below.

Turtle Rock Studios' Evolve

One of the more exciting co-op games that’s on the way is called Evolve. We first heard of the game back in February, when we learned that you would play it with four other people. You and three of those other people play as human characters with special abilities and weapons who hunt down various deadly monsters in various locations. The one remaining person gets to be the monster. This creates a pretty brilliant sounding four-versus-one monster hunting game, but of course, it only works if it looks awesome.

We saw a decent peek at the game, which comes from the creator of Left 4 Dead, Turtle Rock Studios, when it was first announced. Now comes some more gameplay footage out of E3 2014, as well as the introduction of the second monster, Kraken.

You can check out some new Evolve gameplay as well as the Kraken reveal trailer below.

Nintendo's Mario Maker

Nintendo didn’t have a huge presence at E3 2014 this year. In fact, they didn’t even go. Instead, they made their own digital presentation to show off what’s cooking in their world.

One of the cool things they revealed is called Mario Maker for the Wii U, which, just as it sounds, allows you to custom create your very own Super Mario Bros. levels.

A trailer for Mario Maker was released to show just how easy it is (Excitebike easy!) and you can check that out below.
