Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Ubisoft had plenty of games to show off at E3 2015, as always, including their latest release in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

The next game is titled Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and it will take you to 1868 London during the Industrial Revolution. You can play the game as Jacob Frye, or his twin sister Evie, as you recruit a gang to take control of the criminal underground and fight for the working class as the wealthy prosper.

Click on over to the other side to read more about the game and watch a cinematic trailer, a trailer introducing the character Evie Frye, and a gameplay demo.

A brand new Halo game is on the way titled Halo 5: Guardians, and the game was shown off for the first time at E3 2015 during Microsoft’s presentation this week.

The game is the first in the series on the current generation of consoles, and so it naturally looks more colorful and impressive as it ever has. But the most exciting thing? Nathan Fillion‘s Buck character from Halo 3: ODST has returned and can be seen in the video!

Kingdom Hearts III

The long awaited Kingdom Hearts III was announced two years ago now at E3 2013, followed by the first gameplay being revealed later that year at the D3 Expo Japan.

That’s about all that anxious fans of the series have had to keep them excited thus far. But Square Enix was at E3 2015 this week, and they were sure to bring a nice preview of the game for the excited faithful masses.

E3 2015: Next ‘Hitman’ Game Trailers & Release Date

IO Interactive's Hitman

The folks over at Io-Interactive are doing things a little differently with the upcoming next game in the popular Hitman franchise, which will be exciting to some and frustrating to others.

You’ll still play as the legendary assassin Agent 47, and you’ll have a collection of contracts to complete as usual. The game will offer numerous ways for you to get the job done, some blunt and bloody and straight forward, while others much more subtle and unnoticed. One of the cool features of the previous game in the franchise, Hitman: Absolution, was the way they integrated online play. You could replay various missions from the game in an attempt to better your high score, and you could complete those missions a specific way and challenge others to replicate your methods to see if they could do it better. The next game, simply titled Hitman, will expand on this.

You can learn more and watch the first cinematic trailer (which is pretty phenomenal, by the way) and gameplay preview below.

Tom Clancy's The Division

That’s right, Tom Clancy’s The Division is back at E3. The game was one of the best titles revealed at E3 2013, looking so insanely realistic that many had trouble believing it was possible. Unfortunately, after games like Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed Unity failed to live up to how great they looked, it seemed likely that this too would never be what we hoped it would be.

Even so, the game is still pushing forward, and a new gameplay demo showing off an area called the “Dark Zone” and trailer have been shared at E3 2015. Additionally, an actual release date for the game has been announced, believe it or not! Ubisoft has announced that the game will hit store shelves for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 8, 2016.

Click on over to the other side to see how The Division is looking these days.

Gears of War 4

Surprise! Gears of War 4 is on the way, if you haven’t already heard. The main trilogy wrapped with 2011’s Gears of War 3, which was followed by the spinoff game Gears of War: Judgment in 2013. After that the rights to the franchise were transferred from creator Epic Games to Microsoft, and here we are.

The first gameplay demo for Gears 4 was shown off at E3 2015, but sadly, the series primary protagonist Marcus Fenix is nowhere to be found. That said some new characters are introduced in what’s described as the beginning of a new saga, and it does look like plenty of fun for fans of the series. Also announced is a remastered re-release of the original Gears.

You can see the first Gears of War 4 gameplay demo below, as well as a peek at the remastered original.

Dark Souls III

Though I’m sure a crazy amount of work goes into them, it feels like From Software makes their Souls games as easily as you or I make breakfast in the morning (which is still pretty difficult, because sleepy). Now another one is officially on the way with the announcement of Dark Souls III.

Yes, franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty churn out a new title each and every year, but many of their releases do not score nearly the same praise and respect as From’s games do. Which is why it’s so impressive how quickly they seem to deliver them.

An announcement trailer has been released for Dark Souls III, and can be viewed below.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

One of the many big games shown off at E3 2015 Monday was the highly anticipated Tomb Raider reboot sequel from developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix, titled Rise of the Tomb Raider. The game was officially announced last year at E3.

The demo involves Lara Croft doing a little icy rock climbing, which of course goes perfectly fine with no complications whatsoever! After that, a gameplay trailer showing a bunch of glimpses of the game.

Telltale's The Walking Dead: Michonne

Creator Robert Kirkman‘s comic book The Walking Dead has been turned into one of the most popular TV series of all time, as well as one of the most popular video games of recent years. Point-and-click masters Telltale Games have created a pair of incredibly dramatic seasons of five episodes each, and a third season of the game is still on the way.

But before they get to that, they’re taking a little detour. At E3 2015 it was announced that Telltale will be releasing a special three-part miniseries titled The Walking Dead: Michonne coming this fall. And as you might have guessed, you get to play as the katana-wielding zombie killer herself.

You can see a video of the announcement below.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Old school gamers were treated to a pair of massive surprises during Sony’s E3 2015 press conference.

The first was a brief trailer that revealed that a remake of the all-time classic Final Fantasy VII is on the way. The second is the return of SEGA’s Shenmue series, which began in 1999 and was followed up with a sequel in 2001 but hasn’t been heard from since.

You can see trailers for the games below.
