FearNet Grabs Rights To Canceled CW Series ‘Reaper’; Plans Reunion Special

Reaper Image

Of all the shows that the CW Network has produced, Reaper was among the best. In fact, some would even argue it was the only show they’ve ever aired worth watching. It’s also a show that was canceled far too soon, after only two seasons. And like many other similar shows, fans were outraged and fought to see it revived, but to no avail, sadly.

Little has been heard of the show since its cancellation, but it doesn’t appear to be dead yet. At least not entirely dead (it’s only MOSTLY dead). According to reports, FearNet has made their first off-network deal, licensing the show.

The deal sees FearNet acquiring the rights to all 31 episodes of Reaper‘s two-season run to air, and they also will produce a brand new reunion special for fans.

Trick R Treat: Making Friends

Michael Dougherty‘s 2008 cult classic horror anthology Trick ‘r Treat (which, I must confess, I still haven’t seen yet) has finally been sequelized, sort of. To promote its upcoming Trick ‘r Treat marathon, Fearnet commissioned a short from Dougherty called “Making Friends” for the occasion.

You can watch the video here below.

How Cute! Creepy Little Sam From ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ Is Heading Back To School, Too

I don’t recall Back To School being equated with Halloween, but all this week, all I’ve been hearing about is how kids are going back to school and what Halloween costumes they should wear.

Therefore, director Michael Dougherty‘s new promo for the Trick ‘r Treat Halloween marathon at FEARnet is quite appropriate. In the new promo, Sam, the movie’s little terror in a burlap sack mask, is also heading back to school, though his schoolmates might want to watch what they do around him.

Watch the new promo video here below, which really is so adorable… in a creepy way.

Watch ‘Midnight Meat Train’ Right Now!

MMTAs a huge Clive Barker fan I was really saddened and pissed-off when the movie studio decided not to open Midnight Meat Train in any theaters within a 300-mile radius of my location. I mean, it’s not like I’m in a major market area like Buffalo or Scranton… just little old NEW YORK CITY!

Anyhow, retarded studio decisions and bitterness aside, I got some really good news for y’all. The cool as fcuk dudes and dudettes over at FEARnet have secured one helluva score for those of us Barker fans who couldn’t get off work long enough to drive six hours to see MMT and have been jonesing to get a taste. They’ve gone ahead and made Midnight Meat Train available to watch, in full for free, on the internets.

If you haven’t seen it, or wanna see it again, you can watch the entire movie right here after the jump. How cool is that?
