| Must See: Holiday Themed ‘Game Of Thrones’ Picture ‘Christmas Is Coming’
Fans of author George R.R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire book series and the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones, are well-familiar with the motto of House Stark: Winter is Coming. And though winter is indeed coming soon to most of us (if it has not already arrived where you are), it’s also the holiday season, and so why not jolly things up a bit? Someone took the great promo shot of Ned Stark (Sean Bean) sitting upon the Iron Throne (seen above) and added a little Christmas festivity to it. The pictures is, quite perfectly, titled “Christmas is Coming.” Ned, of course, is still not smiling in it, but it remains amusing photo to see. You can see the full image below.

| Rumor For Your Thoughts: Back-To-Back Seasons Of ‘Game Of Thrones’ To Cover ‘A Storm Of Swords’?
While nothing is official yet, it looks like HBO is pondering possibly ordering not only season 3 of their hit series Game of Thrones, but a fourth season as well. And if they do, the plan will apparently be to film the two seasons back-to-back, which has become a popular option with movies. The strategy would be attempted in order to best tackle book three in author George R.R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire series, titled A Storm of Swords. Martin, Melinda Snodgrass, and a group of New Mexico authors largely inspired by the role-playing game Superworld, Wild Cards is set in a post-World War II alternate history where a virus released over the skies of New York City wipes out 90% of all people, 9% are turned into mutated creatures, and 1% obtain superpowers.

| ‘Mass Effect’-Style ‘Game Of Thrones’ RPG Video Game On The Way |

Author George R.R. Martin‘s wildly popular A Song of Ice and Fire book series has had fans whisking themselves off to the lands of Westeros for many years now. And with the booming first–season success of HBO’s adaptation of the book, Game of Thrones, people haven’t been this excited about this particular brand of fantasy in a long, long time. But what if I told you we could soon take that geekdom for the world and its characters a step further? As you may have heard, a video game company called Cyanide Studio has been working on a real–time strategy game based on Martin’s mythology titled Game of Thrones: Genesis. What you may not have heard, however, is that the studio is also working on a Game of Thrones role–playing game along the same lines as Mass Effect and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for the PC and next–generation consoles…and that, my dear friends, is something to be very excited about.
