Members of the heroic cast of Guardians of the Galaxy have already signed a letter showing their support for their beloved director James Gunn, who was fired when decade-old disturbing tweets were unearthed by an alt-right movement to discredit the filmmaker. In the days after his firing, the cast members each sent out their sentiments and have gone as far as asking Disney and Marvel to rehire Gunn. While there was a slight glimmer of hope that that could happen, insiders are saying it’s not likely that Disney would do it. That being said, GoTG star Dave Bautista continues his crusade of support, and is stopping short of throwing down an ultimatum.

The more than obvious lapse of time in between those tweets and the posts he makes now shows that he is a changed man. Plus, the number of apologizes he had made, both years ago and now, are proof enough that he realized that those jokes were poor taste.

Now that we’ve heard from various members of the cast, they have come together as a family to released a signed letter of support for Gunn asking that Disney reinstate him as director on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. More on the story here below.

Another day, another big name losing a high-profile job. Disney has decided to fire Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn, who was set to direct the next installment of the series Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 for the company’s Marvel brand with production expected to begin early next year.

Trilogies are always going to be a part of a major superhero franchise like Guardians of the Galaxy. But after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, it’s going to be hard to see how the galaxy’s misfits move forward.
