The latest Halloween movie has taken some interesting twists and turns since we’ve known about it. First we found out that the legendary John Carpenter himself, who directed the original and hasn’t been involved with the franchise since Halloween III: Season of the Witch over three decades ago, would be helping to create this new movie. After that came the slightly confusing, yet intriguing decision to hire David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, the duo who previously worked together on Pineapple Express, Your Highness, Eastbound & Down, and Vice Principals, to make the movie. More recently, there was even more exciting news for fans of the franchise: Jamie Lee Curtis will be returning to Haddonfield once again. And this time she’ll be joined by Judy Greer, who will be playing her daughter. Now Carpenter himself has another interesting twist for us. | Judy Greer Joins New ‘Halloween’ Movie As Karen Strode
Reboots are just a thing we are accustomed to seeing in headlines nowadays. But some reboots catch our interest, especially when it falls into the right hands. Such as Blumhouse’s new take on Halloween. The film will bring back Jamie Lee Curtis who made a name for herself as the ultimate scream queen in John Carpenter‘s original 1978 classic slasher film. When announcing her return, Curtis said “Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween.” So while it is something of a reboot of the franchise, the movie is also a sequel and canon. And to make sure it is canon, the film will be adding one interesting connection. New reports confirm that Judy Greer will be joining the cast as Karen Strode, Laurie Strode’s daughter.
