‘Harry Potter’ Baddie Tom Felton Joins ‘The Twilight Saga’ Brain Ashley Greene In Dark Castle’s ‘The Apparition’

Dark Castle

Dark Castle Entertainment is known for their many contributions to the horror genre. One of their upcoming titles is The Apparition. The movie is adding a new name to the cast which now creates an interesting fusion of different juggernaut franchises.

ShockTilYouDrop is reporting that Tom Felton, who is best known as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, has been cast in the movie. Felton joins The Twilight Saga star Ashley Greene, creating said fusion. It’s always fun when the stars of two major franchises show up together in a completely different franchise, so all of the Potter-heads and Twi-hards will surely go nutty for this. Then again, sometimes these fusions are pretty anti-climactic, like when Firefly‘s Nathan Fillion teamed up with Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff for White Noise 2. Shame.

Not a whole lot is known about the movie, but it will delve into the realms of the supernatural when some sort of college experiment doesn’t go quite as planned.

Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Universal StudiosThe Super Bowl broadcast is known for having some really great commercials, as well as debut movie, TV, and game footage.

During tonight’s game (yay Saints!), as I was watching for the new TV spot for Alice In Wonderland, the first television commercial for Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter came on, and I squealed. I did, I really did.

For those of you wondering what this is, it’s the new Harry Potter-themed section of Islands of Adventure, a theme park within the Universal Orlando Resort, that’s opening this Spring.

Watch the commercial, which includes an appearance by the boy wizard himself Daniel Radcliffe, here below.

Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Universal StudiosBack in 2007, Universal Studios Orlando announced plans to add a Harry Potter-themed land to their Islands of Adventure theme park.

Since then, we’ve only seen a bunch of concept art for Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Now, finally, is the first glimpse of an actual structure at the park: the top of the Hogwarts Castle!

Check out the image here at right (click for larger, full view); or for a super hi-res version, visit The Leaky Caudron site.

Clash of the Titans

Hey, remember that time that director Louis Leterrier told us that his upcoming Clash of the Titans wouldn’t do that 3D thing that everyone else was doing? (Read: Director Louis Leterrier Wants “˜The Avengers’; “˜Clash Of The Titans’ Will NOT Be 3D) Yeah, well, we were lied to.

Whether Leterrier thought it would happen or not, Warner Brothers has decided that they will indeed give the film the cheap $5 million 3D makeover before releasing it. The studio has also decided that both parts 1 and 2 of their massive franchise-closing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows would also get a release in 3D. The news was first reported by MarketSaw, who are getting all of the big scoops in this realm of film making, and then later confirmed by the trades, who once again gave no credit.
