As part of Amazon’s weekly Blu-ray deals, the special limited edition Marvel Cinematic Universe – Phase One: Avengers Assembled 10-disc, 6-movie Blu-ray Collector’s Edition box set is on sale for only $149.95 (that’s 32% off the list price of $219.00).

The Marvel Cinematic Universe – Phase One: Avengers Assembled Blu-ray box set contains the movies Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor, as well as “The Phase One Archives” bonus disc, all housed in collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia.

It just so happens that Captain America: The Winter Soldier came out on Iron Man and The Avengers star Robert Downey Jr.‘s birthday, and he made sure to take advantage of it.

The actor invited over a bunch of kids over for a big viewing party of the sequel, and perhaps a few older kids who were just as excited to be there as the younger ones.

The $11 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is a mash-up of Iron Man and Tin Man from The Wizard Of Oz called “Invincible Tin Man” by WhiskeySteaks.

The sale began at Teefury today, Friday, February 14, 2014, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site for $11 anymore, though it will continue into the next day for $14 (look for the After Hours bar at the top).

Paul Bettany has been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the beginning, voicing J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark’s AI butler and suit assistant in the Iron Man movies. Now the man behind the voice is about the receive one major upgrade as Bettany goes from voicing a AI butler to pivotal Avengers character, at least comic book fans hope.

The Playlist says the always reliable Daily Mail is reporting that Bettany will voice The Vision in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Vision, Ultron’s robotic creation, originated as a villain who eventually turns on his creator and joins the Avengers. This isn’t the first time the actor has been attached to play the character. There were rumors that J.A.R.V.I.S. would help Iron Man in a larger capacity by being upgraded to The Vision.

Picture Iron Man flying around Tomorrowland or Captain America leading the marching band on Main Street, U.S.A. Marvel characters are slowly entering Disneyland, as the acquisition of the massive comic-themed library of characters becomes realized in the theme park realm.
