Jurassic World Image

Jurassic World is set some 20 years after the events of Jurassic Park, and as you can imagine, the park has had time to grow and thrive, while facilities have decayed. But the humans have returned to bring the park back to its once sparkling potential. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, and more star in this semi-reboot/sequel. And while director Colin Trevorrow has expressed disappointment in some of the leaks that have found their way onto the internet, he doesn’t intend on letting that stop him.

Now three new images have been released. There aren’t any dinosaurs in sight, but we do get a look at the new generation of characters that hope to survive the Jurassic World. Hit the jump to see them.

This summer, the apes will return in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the upcoming sequel to 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The spread of the Simian Flu led to the ruin of major cities like New York, San Francisco, and London and the downfall of humankind, and now a war between the surviving humans and a race of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar (played via mo-cap by the Andy Serkis) is about to begin.

A new 1-minute TV spot for the film called “Bear Hunt” has been released and you can check it out here below.

Also, you can get ready for the upcoming film by reading its prequel novel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Firestorm, which was recently released in paperback and Kindle formats.

Directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) and starring Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Judy Greer, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes open in theaters on July 11, 2014.

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Trailer Header Image

During Sunday’s season finale of The Walking Dead, viewers got another tantalizing glimpse at this summer’s super simian sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in the form of the film’s first television spot.

So what makes this spot worth watching? Three words: APES ON HORSEBACK! I fell in love the moment a massive gate opened to show us ape leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) and some of his loyal followers sitting atop noble steeds and geared up for some serious stuff to start. The visual effects work in this film could do the unthinkable and easily surpass the technical accomplishments of 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

You can check it out here below.
