| Official Title and Release Date Announced For ‘Jurassic Park 4’
Last we heard, Jurassic Park IV was being pushed back from a planned 2014 release to sometime in 2015, and producer Steven Spielberg was helping up-and-coming director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) with his first experience with a huge franchise blockbuster. Now Universal has announced an official title (complete with the logo above) as well as a new official release date for the movie, which Trevorrow is also co-writing along with Derek Connolly.

| Director Colin Trevorrow Gives ‘Jurassic Park 4’ Slight Status Update
Universal Pictures had pushed the release date for long-gestating Jurassic Park 4 back for a full year, from summer 2014 to a yet-to-be announced 2015 release, because of some issues with the script. But that seems to be the only issue, and while it may look like a major cause for concern, it will definitely give director Colin Trevorrow and producer Steven Spielberg more time to polish the script. While on the red carpet for the Saturn Awards, Trevorrow spoke to Schmoes Know (via ComingSoon) about the status of the film, how Spielberg is an asset to the pre-production process, and where Jurassic Park 4 fits.

| Universal Puts Colin Trevorrow’s ‘Jurassic Park 4’ On Hold
Jurassic Park 4 is going to have to close its gates for some renovations, at least momentarily. Production for the sequel was expected to begin on June 24 of this year for a June 13, 2014 release, but Universal has just announced that they are pulling back on filming because the project needs more time for development. THR obtained a statement from the studio explaining why there will be a temporary production halt for the tentpole film.
