Sony Says Break-Up With Marvel Studios Over Spider-Man Is “Disappointing”
By now, you may have heard that Sony and Marvel Studios are breaking up over the financial arrangement to continue to collaborate and produce Spider-Man films. Fan reaction was swift, as many were putting the blame on Sony for not agreeing to Disney’s new terms – after all, Sony was the one who came to Marvel and Marvel was the one who helped re-establish Spidey’s cinematic reputation. However, there were those who sided with Sony, citing that Disney’s request comes off as greedy. Whatever the case, Spidey’s presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be coming to an end.

MCU Spider-Man Gets Blipped As Marvel Studios Ends Its Relationship With Sony Pictures

The future of your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man looked like it was going to be bright considering all of the success the character had when Marvel Studios stepped in to save the character after an abysmal reboot.
However, it looks like the era of the MCU Spider-Man (played by Tom Holland) may have spun its last web as reports are saying that Marvel Studios will no longer produce any more Spider-Man films after they and Sony failed to reach an agreement. More on the report below.

Disney To Stop 20th Century Fox Film Development and Focus More On Key Franchise Acquisitions
When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox earlier this year, it really changed the entertainment climate. The Mouse House has become a giant media conglomerate. They own various studios, TV networks, and will soon be launching a streaming service. However, there appears to be somewhat of a downside to all of this, at least when you look at it from a stockholder’s point of view.
Disney chief financial officer Christine McCarthy revealed Fox films were at an operating loss of $170 million for the quarter. With these films performing lower than expected, it is forcing Disney to stop production for various 20th Century Fox titles and redirect their focus to key franchises like the newly acquired Marvel properties and Avatar. More on the report below.

SDCC 2019: Marvel Studios Also Announces ‘Fantastic Four,’ Mutants, and Other Titles
Marvel Studios doesn’t mess around when it comes to any announcements on a public stage like San Diego Comic-Con. After telling the world about a slew of upcoming titles including The Eternals, Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Thor: Love and Thunder, Blade, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige took to the stage the say that there were other titles in the works as well, they just didn’t have enough time to get to them.
And just as a nice tease, Feige revealed that these titles include Fantastic Four, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, and a film that could, possibly, feature some mutants. Check out more on all of these titles below.
