| SDCC 2019: ‘Hawkeye’ Series Finally Gives Jeremy Renner’s Character A Shot At Being The Lead
Though Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) is one of the founding members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Avengers, he never really had a major role in it. Yes, that started to change towards the end, but he is remembered as a supporting character. But that will change now that he will be the lead of his own show, simply titled Hawkeye, coming to Disney+ this fall. Though the show isn’t expected to debut until later in 2020, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige took to the stage at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about the upcoming series as well as Kate Bishop, a major character in Matt Fraction and David Aja’s comic series Hawkeye #1 (December 2016). In it, Barton found himself semi-retired and teaching Young Avenger Kate Bishop the ropes of being a skillful archer. More below.

| SDCC 2019: ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ Carries Cap’s Legacy On To Disney Plus
Though Marvel’s televised series are said to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they don’t really function as one considering how Marvel Studios and Marvel Entertainment don’t speak to each other in a way that would make it a cohesive shared universe. Not that the title would have given Avengers: Endgame any more validation it needs, but it has happened, as confirmed by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who announced the news to a packed Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con.
