Eternals is Marvel Studios’ next step into expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though they may not be the household names that Iron Man, Captain America, and Spider-Man are now, they’re still regarded as being a vital part of the larger Marvel Comics pantheon. The Rider director Chloe Zhao will helm the upcoming film that will likely use Jack Kirby‘s art from the comics. But there appears to be much more to it than that.

While on the Captain Marvel press tour, Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige talked a little bit about the upcoming project. More on what he said below.

Avengers: Endgame is easily one of the most anticipated films of the year. Following the emotionally distressing ending to Avengers: Infinity War, our heroes and the entire universe itself is in shambles. But now they will have to dust themselves off to avenge their fallen brethren.

While many of us have only seen what the surviving heroes have gone through in a teaser trailer and Super Bowl spot, test audiences have seen versions of the film. And if these test audiences like what they see, Avengers: Endgame could run as long as three hours. More on the report below.

Last year, the Department of Justice approved The Walt Disney Company’s $71 billion offer to acquire Fox’s entertainment assets, including television and film properties. The news was a cause for celebration for Marvel fans as the move meant that X-Men and Fantastic Four characters would finally be able to play in the Marvel Studios sandbox.

However, this also meant that the current X-Men franchise, including its many spinoffs like Deadpool and the yet-to-be-released The New Mutants, was in serious jeopardy of no longer continuing or being rebooted. Deadpool, a raunchy superhero with a debaucherous behavior, doesn’t quite fit into what Disney has done with the MCU and the family friendly films they release.

Long-time X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner spoke about passing the franchise to their new owners, Disney. She also addressed its future, as well as the future of Deadpool and when The New Mutants will be released. More on the report below.

Around this time last year, Marvel Studios excited fans with a new look at Avengers: Infinity War. The mega-ensemble film was everything fans expected it to be. However, they were all emotionally crushed when Thanos (Josh Brolin) did what he did at the end (let’s just leave it at that right here, for those who may not be caught up). The first Avengers: Endgame trailer revealed how devastated Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are after their loss. Now, it’s up to Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) to defeat the Mad Titan or experience even more loss. It won’t be long until we finally get to see the X-Men and Fantastic Four finally play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanks to Disney acquiring Fox Entertainment last year, we will finally get to see the two interact with The Avengers and Spider-Man. While the deal is expected to close near the end of this month, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is already talking about when we could possibly see either of these properties in the MCU.
