So, it all ends here with the final chapter in the epic (or not so epic depending on your opinion of these films) story of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and her journey into vampire-ness. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 also stars all of the usual suspects including Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, as well as newcomer Maggie Grace. This film centers on the newest edition to the Cullen family, Renesmee. Love it or hate, we have new stills from the upcoming film!

Kristen Stewart has been in the news for other reasons than promoting Snow White and the Huntsman and now her actions may be the reason Universal has decided not to bring the actress back for their planned sequel for Snow White and the Huntsman.

Universal now plans to take their ideas for a Snow White and The Huntsman sequel and turn it into a spin-off focusing on just the Huntsman, played by Chris Hemsworth, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The trade reports that Rupert Sanders will most likely come back to direct the new film, but that Stewart has been dropped. Also, the film won’t use the script that David Koepp wrote and that the writer is “being settled out of his rich contract.” All this means that Universal is back to square one with the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel.

By now anyone familiar with The Twilight Saga has heard about the scandal involving star Kristen Stewart, who had a little fling with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders while still being very much involved with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.

Obviously the news did not go over well with the series’ rabid fanbase, leading many to wonder whether Stewart’s actions might cause severe damage to the Twilight franchise going forward.

With only one movie left, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, which was expected to deliver massive box office numbers, it suddenly became quite complicated to promote the movie as necessary. But, according to Summit Entertainment, they’re moving on as planned.

Kristen Stewart was outed this week for cheating on her long-time boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. The 22-year-old actress was reportedly caught by paparazzi cameras on July 17 in a compromising position with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, 41, who’s been married for 7 years to model/actress Liberty Ross. The photos, which were published in Us magazine, are already online and in a surprising move, Stewart immediately came forward to admit her indiscretion, issuing a public apology, as has Sanders.

What amazes me about this situation is that the scenario played out like an episode of Courteney Cox’s former gossip drama Dirt, including a bidding war for the photos among several major magazines (Us Magazine got the scoop). From what I can tell, the photos show Sanders hugging Stewart from behind, as well as the two of them kissing in a car.

Considering KStew and RPatz are both young, famous, good-looking, and successful, it was obvious that the romance wouldn’t last forever, but I at least expected it to hold out until the final Twilight film (Breaking Dawn: Part 2, coming to theaters this November) was out on Blu-ray. This incident makes me wonder: Did Kristen Stewart’s cheating on Robert Pattinson just ruin the Twilight franchise?
