| ‘X-Men’ Spinoff Movie ‘The New Mutants’ Announced
While the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse and next entry in the Wolverine series could possibly be the end of Bryan Singer’s two-part run with the franchise, that doesn’t mean you can expect the X-Men movies to slow down or take a break. It’s been announced that a new spinoff of the franchise is on the way titled The New Mutants, and just as it sounds, the movie will introduce a whole new lineup of mutant characters. Fox has also hired a someone to make the movie, bringing in The Fault in Our Stars and Stuck in Love director Josh Boone to helm the project. Boone will also pen the screenplay along with Knate Gwaltney, with Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner producing.

| Watch The Ryan Reynolds ‘Deadpool’ Test Footage For The Movie We All Want To See!
Ever since Ryan Reynolds briefly appeared as Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, fans have been waiting for that one day where he would be given his own movie. Of course with Deadpool being the “Merc with the Mouth,” adapting him for the big screen would be one of the hardest things to do. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have already written a script, and Reynolds has even read it, and he has nothing but great things to say about it. Even Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg are exploring the idea of how to do a Deadpool movie properly without ruining the character’s reputation. But now we have a look at what a Deadpool movie could look like if it does get greenlit. Test footage has recently surfaced showing Deadpool in action, killing mercs while mouthing off. Honestly, you should give it a look.

| ‘X-Men’ Producer Wants To Make Channing Tatum The Next Gambit
While doing the press rounds back in September for White House Down, Channing Tatum was asked if he would like to be in a superhero movie. The actor excitedly replied, yes, but went even further by specifically naming Gambit as the hero he would like to play. Tatum’s roles have ranged from exotic dancer to G.I. Joe to Superman (in Lego form for the upcoming The Lego Movie). Tatum said that if he were to play Gambit, he would use a real Cajun accent, given that he has family ties in New Orleans. Now, Lauren Shuler Donner, a producer who has worked on the X-Men films since the very beginning, says that she is dying to make Tatum the next Gambit, but that she has to convince Fox to agree to this.

| Bryan Singer To Direct ‘X-Men: First Class’ Sequel ‘Days Of Future Past’
Recently we found out that X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn was walking away from the sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. At the time, it was said that the name at the top of Twentieth Century Fox’s list to replace Vaughn, was none other than X-Men and X2 director Bryan Singer. Now comes word that Singer has indeed been confirmed for the movie, having just finalized a deal with Fox. The roles look as if they’ll be reversed, as well, as Vaughn is near a deal that would allow him to at least produce the sequel, along with Lauren Shuler Donner and writer Simon Kinberg.
