| ‘Star Wars’ Han Solo Spinoff Title Role Shortlist RevealedLast December, it was reported that over 2,500 actors auditioned for the role of young Han Solo in the untitled Star Wars Han Solo spinoff from The LEGO Movie directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord. The expectations are high to find the right person to fill the role considering how iconic the legendary smuggler is in the Star Wars universe. Filming isn’t expected to begin until 2017, yet Disney and Lucasfilm are looking for actors this early on. And there is a reason for that. Apparently, they want to have the role cast so that Han Solo can make a cameo appearance in another Star Wars spinoff film. | ‘Spider-Man’: Sony Eyeing Dylan O’Brien, Logan Lerman For “High School” SpideySpider-Man is being rebooted. Again. It was inevitable. With the poor box office showings of both The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sony decided that it was time to put down their pride and make a deal with Marvel. While Marvel now has access to the webslinger, something fans have been wanting to happen for years since the launch of the MCU, Sony still retains final creative control. So if you’re already giving a sigh about that high school reboot, that’s on Sony not Marvel. That being said, let’s look at who the studio is considering to play Spidey. Back in June we saw the first trailer for Fury, an upcoming World War II tank movie starring Brad Pitt. Now an international trailer has been released by Sony Pictures. The movie follows a group of American soldiers on a dangerous mission toward the end of the war. It’s written and directed by David Ayer (Harsh Times, End of Watch), and also stars Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal, and Logan Lerman.
