| ‘Noah’ Trailer: Darren Aronofsky Envisions The Great Flood |
|
Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah. The film is based on the biblical story of Noah, who built a giant ark and saved two of every animal and his family, while the rest of the world was purged by the Great Flood. The difference is that Noah is seen more as a builder in the Bible and Aronofsky is depicting the Biblical figure as a warrior. While this is the first time that the general public has seen footage, the trailer features footage that was presented at various religious conferences throughout the country. There has been some conflict with Aronofsky and Paramount about the final edit of the film though. Test screenings have not been favorable, but those who have seen the film at religious conferences would probably tell you differently. Paramount has invested a fair amount of cash into Noah, which could turn out to be an epic hit or an epic failure depending on who gets the final cut. Hit the jump to see the trailer.

Films like The Dark Knight Rises and Marvel’s The Avengers entertained audiences with blockbuster action sequences and the ultimate in childhood wish fulfillment, while movies such as Drew Goddard‘s Cabin in the Woods and Gareth Edward‘s The Raid: Redemption will long be remembered as putting the nail in the coffin of their respective genres. We saw new films from acclaimed directors like Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan, Ang Lee, David O. Release Date: October 5, 2012 “We accept the love we think we deserve.” A quirky, poignant coming-of-age story based on the best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a heartfelt high school drama in the spirit of the late John Hughes’ The Breakfast Club. Academically advanced, socially inept freshman Charlie (Logan Lerman) is a wallflower, always watching from the sidelines, until a group of charismatic seniors take him under their wing. Gorgeous, free-spirited Sam (Emma Watson) and her cut-up stepbrother, Patrick (Ezra Miller), help guide Charlie through new friendships, first loves, and family dramas while introducing him to a world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Meanwhile, his English teacher, Mr. Anderson (Paul Rudd), has introduced Charlie to the realm of literature, sparking his dreams of becoming a writer. But even as Charlie thrives in this new world of mix-tapes and bacchanalian parties, the pain of his past – which includes his best friend’s recent suicide and the accidental death of his beloved Aunt Helen (Melanie Lynskey) – lingers just below the surface.

| Check Out The First Image Of Russell Crowe From Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’The story of Noah is among one of the greatest Biblical stories ever told, and Darren Aronofsky will finally be able to bring his vision of a man who saved his family and many animals from an epic flood to the big screen after years of gestating. Of course his vision will have a slight twist, but it will also keep the spirit of the story. So after a couple of casting rumors and set photo reveals from the director himself, we are getting our first look at Russell Crowe as the titular hero. Check it out below. Crowe looks rugged and his clothing is tattered, but other than that, there isn’t too much to describe about the image. But we’ve seen giant set photos of the ark in the past, which suggest that this is going to be one of Aronofsky’s biggest films. The director occasionally posts photos on his twitter account to update his fans on the progress of the film.
