The long gestating Fraggle Rock movie has added the kind of star power it needs to finally get into production. Joseph Gordon-Levitt joins the film, based on the The Jim Henson Company’s franchise of the same name, as producer as star, this according to a new report from Variety.

Debuting in 1983, Henson described Fraggle Rock as “a high-energy, raucous musical romp” that is “silly” and “wonderful.” The series centered on “cave-dwelling creatures called Fraggles who have to deal with the industrious Doozers and furry giants called Gorgs,” all of whom lived in the underground world known as Fraggle Rock.

Along with announcing an official release date for the PlayStation 4, Sony also announced a new movie project during their conference at Gamescom.

Sony Pictures along with New Regency will team up with gaming giant Ubisoft to make Watch Dogs, a movie based on the hotly anticipated upcoming video game in which technologies are used to your advantage and nothing—and no one—are hidden from the all-seeing eyes of big brother. In the game you play as master hacker Aiden Pearce, a man whose past leads to a violent family tragedy. While trying to find those responsible, Aiden also finds himself becoming a vigilante and helping others who are being harmed.

The story of Noah is among one of the greatest Biblical stories ever told, and Darren Aronofsky will finally be able to bring his vision of a man who saved his family and many animals from an epic flood to the big screen after years of gestating. Of course his vision will have a slight twist, but it will also keep the spirit of the story. So after a couple of casting rumors and set photo reveals from the director himself, we are getting our first look at Russell Crowe as the titular hero. Check it out below.

Crowe looks rugged and his clothing is tattered, but other than that, there isn’t too much to describe about the image. But we’ve seen giant set photos of the ark in the past, which suggest that this is going to be one of Aronofsky’s biggest films. The director occasionally posts photos on his twitter account to update his fans on the progress of the film.
