Warner Bros. has just dropped the latest trailer for 12 Strong, the true story of a small group of military soldiers who were sent off to Afghanistan to develop an uneasy relationship with the Northern Alliance to take down the dangerous Taliban.

Though the current geopolitical climate is very divisive, it’s a bit of a relief that we can find inspiring stories from those who are willing to put their differences aside for the common good. That’s the feeling you get when watching 12 Strong, starring Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon, and more. Based on a true story, the film centers on a group of 12 brave soldiers sent on a dangerous mission in Afghanistan in the wake of September 11th. The LEGO Movie franchise has proven that if you build it, they will come. Coming off of two widely successful films, The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie, comes The LEGO Ninjago Movie – based off their Ninjago LEGO toyline. While the film is still set in the same LEGO world and has the same LEGO quirks – the self deprecating humor and pop culture nods – the film doesn’t pack the same punch as its predecessors. Which is ironic, because this is the most action-packed LEGO movie of them all. It’s filled with ninja action, mechs, and so much more. But a lackluster story that seems to be at odds with itself makes The LEGO Ninjago Movie the weakest of the three films. My full review below.

Today, Marvel Studios announced the start of production for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Directed by Peyton Reed, the film is the 20th installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and sees the return of Paul Rudd as the title character who must now re-balance his home life as a father with his responsibilities as Ant-Man.
