Though there have been a few screen adaptations of A Wrinkle In Time, Disney’s latest adaptation of the film will be the first of its kind. Directed by Ava DuVernay, the film will be the first $100 million-plus budgeted film to be directed by a woman of color. Not only that, but the film sees a racially diverse cast and a young woman of color as the lead. That is something worthy of acknowledgment, especially in this day and age.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer for Ocean’s 8, a sequel and spinoff to Steven Soderbergh‘s 2001 Ocean’s Eleven remake and its two sequels, Ocean’s Thirteen and Ocean’s Thirteen.

The movie stars Sandra Bullock, who we now know is playing the sister of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean character from the previous movies. She’s joined on the cast by Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Richard Armitage, and James Corden. It’s directed by Gary Ross, who previously helmed Pleasantville, Seabiscuit, The Hunger Games, and Free States of Jones, from a script he co-wrote with Olivia Milch.

Madeleine L’Engle’s acclaimed children’s novel of the same name which sees Meg (Storm Reid) going on a cosmic adventure that spans space and time to save her father from an evil force who intends to use his space time travel research for their nefarious deeds. Both DuVernay and Reid were joined by Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, and Chris Pine, and all shared their thorughts and experiences on the film.
