One Piece Anime On Crunchyroll

One Piece fans, rejoice! Crunchyroll Inc., the leading online Asian entertainment stream service, announced on October 31st that it has added the incredibly long-lived series to its already impressive roster of streaming anime.

The series, which is currently up to its 619th episode, will begin broadcasting this Saturday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time. Broadcasts will start with episode 619 for both premium and free users of the service. Earlier episodes will be made available for users at a later date.

Travel Channel To Kick Its Halloween-Themed Weekends With ‘Making Monsters’

To kick off their Halloween-themed “Weekends to Die For” that will run throughout October, the Travel Channel will premiere a new original miniseries called Making Monsters, and see the return of Ghost Adventures and the debut of the new original detective vs. psychic series The Dead Files.

The 4-part one-hour miniseries Making Monsters will follow Ed and Marsha Edmunds, the co-owners of Distortions Unlimited, a Mom and Pop store that specializes in the creation of animatronic beasties and haunted house designs for the amusement industry. Their creations include 8-foot Godzilla-like moving monsters, green-gook spitting aliens, and guffawing Santa Clauses. Assisting them in their work is renowned movie monster creator Jordu Schell, best known for his work as a sculptor and conceptual artist on films like Avatar, Predators, The Mist, 300, and Galaxy Quest to name but a few.

Watch Now: ‘Digital Decay’ Featurette From ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 1 Special Edition Blu-ray

Timed to the upcoming second season premiere of The Walking Dead Anchor Bay Entertainment is releasing a special edition DVD set of the show’s problematic but ultimately stellar first season on Blu-ray and DVD with even more extra features than their previous release of the first season. Today the company has released a clip from one of the newly created bonus featurettes and you can watch the video below this article.

Titled “Digital Decay,” the 90-second clip takes brief look at the CGI effects created for the series, notably the additional zombies. There’s nothing revelatory in this video but it does give you a feel for the ways that digital effects are used to create a worthwhile end result.
