Recent Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailers have been vague on the details of the plot of Rian Johnson’s latest film. Though we got a sense that Rey (Daisy Ridley) was on her way to becoming a Jedi, despite Luke Skywalker’s (Mark Hamill) reluctance and general pessimistic outlook for the Jedi Order, Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Issac) journeys were just beginning. Now with the release of the film less than a month away, we can expect to see more from Star Wars: The Last Jedi in the form of TV spots. Just don’t expect them to reveal anything too spoilery. Even the TV spots are keeping some of the characters in the dark, as the latest one has Finn asking Poe what happened to Rey.

We are less than a month away from the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and you can be sure that fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to see what will happen to Rey (Daisy Ridley) and if this will truly be the end for the Jedi Order. While the teaser, trailer, and a few TV spots have given us an exciting look at the action, they’ve kept fans in the dark when it comes to releasing major plot points and major surprises.

Of course, nearly every Star Wars film is one of the most anticipated films of the year, wanting to know more about it before its release is just par for the course. And now, we will get to know a little more about the upcoming sequel with a handful of new images that detail these characters’ journeys towards their destiny. It’s not entirely unusual to see a TV spot for a tentpole film airing during a huge sporting event like game seven of the World Series. But when it comes down to a TV spot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, it will definitely be turning more than just a few heads.

On the surface, Suburbicon is supposed to be this social satire set in the heart of late 1950s suburbia, where the little quiet idyllic neighborhood is the epitome of the American Dream. Even in the film’s opening, we see a sales pitch that tries to convince the audience that Surburicon is the place to live with its family-friendliness, perfect homes, and genuinely idyllic atmosphere. At this point, the film turns itself into a satiric commentary on race relations. From there it morphs into a murder-mystery comedy. And neither of these plots has anything to do with each other. So rather than working together cohesively, the two plots are at war with each other, making the film feel like it was shot separately and then stitched back up together for whatever this monstrosity is.
