| ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’ Gets An Official Trailer
Sony Pictures Entertainment has released an official trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the upcoming animated feature starring Shameik Moore as Miles Morales. The movie is set in a world where more than one person with the abilities of the spider are walking (or jumping or crawling or swinging) around the city. One of those people is none other than Peter Parker (voiced by Jake Johnson), who will mentor Morales. This mentor was briefly shown in the teaser trailer last December. The cast also includes Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Liev Schreiber, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, and Lily Tomlin. | Sony Pictures Sets Writer For ’23 Jump Street’
Sony Pictures is moving forward with 23 Jump Street, a sequel to 21 Jump Street and the recent 22 Jump Street, both of which starred Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Sony has locked up Rodney Rothman to pen the trilogy-maker, which is expected to see Hill and Tatum return. Rothman worked on the 22 Jump Street script, and was recently reported to be involved in a planned Greatest American Hero reboot.

| Believe It or Not ‘The Greatest American Hero’ Is Getting a TV Remake
The Greatest American Hero, an ’80s television comedy created by Stephen J. Cannell about a high school teacher turned clumsy superhero, is set for a reboot on FOX, according to Deadline. The pilot will be produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who directed another awesome reboot, 21 Jump Street. Their “street” cred also includes the highly successful The Lego Movie and 22 Jump Street. Rodney Rothman, who co-wrote 22 Jump Street, will write the pilot and act as co-executive producer, alongside Cannell’s daughter, Tawnia McKiernan, whose television directing credits include episodes of Leverage, Grimm, Devious Maids, and Bones.

He’s busy… with Korean shit!” – Ice Cube, 21 Jump Street Back in 2008, when Columbia Pictures announced they were developing a film adaptation of 21 Jump Street, I was wracked with cynicism. “Really?” I asked incredulously. “Because Starsky & Hutch and Bewitched did so well?” My cynical nerd-brain jumped immediately to the place it so often does these days, “Just what we need, another reboot that no one asked for!” I was pleasantly surprised, however, to discover that this revamp wasn’t a gritty, self-serious take like Michael Mann’s Miami Vice, but rather an uproarious action-comedy by the directing duo of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. And I certainly wasn’t expecting 21 Jump Street to be such a smart, self-reflexive satire of ’80s buddy cop flicks and teen movie tropes.
