Newly concious vampire Kelly (Natalie Brown), sets the vampire children sniffing for Zach. Bolivar (Jack Kesy) was also awakened, and is helping Eichorst (Richard Sammel) find a new body for The Master (Robin Atkin Downes, Robert Maillet). Palmer’s (Jonathan Hyde) new assistant, Coco (Lizzie Brocheré), wrote a speech for him which at first seems inappropriate, but riles up the crowd. Somehow though, Setrakian (David Bradley) gets near him. He’s only trying to suss out if he knows where the Occido Lumen is. We are shown the backstory for Palmer and Abraham. SDCC 2015: First Trailer For ‘Firefly’-Inspired ‘Con Man’ From Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion
|
|
We may never see Firefly live and breathe again (unless someone finally wakes up and finds a way to makes it happen for us), but while die hard fans of the series continue to hopelessly wait for that day to arrive something else inspired by Joss Whedon‘s show has been born.
Back in March we found out about Con Man, a web series from Firefly co-stars Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion. Mirroring their previous gig working together, the web series follows actors from a canceled (far too soon) science fiction TV show. The actor who playued the captain on the show (Fillion) goes on to become a big movie star, while the actor who played the pilot (Tudyk) finds himself traveling around making appearances and sci-fi conventions.
A trailer for Con Man was shared during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con—the first web series to have a Hall H panel—and now the trailer is available to enjoy online. You can see it below along with a poster and full synopsis that includes the cast of very familiar names you’ll see in the series.

“Never Say Die”: Happy 30th Birthday To ‘The Goonies’
Back in 1985, Richard Donner, Steven Spielberg, and Chris Columbus created a tale of a bunch of outcast kids searching for buried pirate treasure. It doesn’t necessarily sound like a classic. But to those of Generations X and Y, the adventures of Mikey, Mouth, Data, Chunk, and Sloth are those of legends. This past weekend, Sunday to be precise, The Goonies celebrated its 30th birthday.

Inside ‘The Strain’: Inside The Monsters (Gross Videos)
The Strain season 2 doesn’t premiere until July 12th on FX, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t brush up on the fascinating real main characters on this horror-filled show – the vampires. FX has released some anticipatory videos giving us some behind the scenes looks at the making (and unmaking) of the disgusting anatomy of the vampires, a refreshing change from the pretty vampires so rampant in pop culture today.
Check out the videos below.

The Strain Season 1 Episode 8 “Creatures of the Night” will be reviewed in just a moment, but first, a little recap of last week’s Episode 7 “For Services Rendered” (Warning! Spoilers may be bad for your health!).
Setrakian (David Bradley) believes killing the Master will kill all the spawn. Eph (Corey Stoll) scoffs, but Setrakian shuts him down with his “rightness” streak. They have to find his human helpers as Eichhorst (Richard Sammel) was in Nazi Germany. Jim (Sean Astin) agrees to act as bait to capture Eichorst, even though his wife leaves him over it. They lure him to a train station, but he pulls a Neo move and turns the tables. Just as a tentacle is about to devour Setrakian, Eph shoots him in the leg with silver bullets. The plan’s idea was good, but it seemed very likely to fail as Eichhorst was moving purposefully and the three of them were running around kinda crazed. And so it did.
