Back in July the first teaser trailer for Saw VII, now known as Saw 3D, was released, but didn’t show a whole lot. Now fans of the franchise have their first real look with the arrival of the first full trailer.

At the time, the movie was said to be called Saw 3D: The Traps Come Alive, but thankfully it looks like the sub-title was demoted to a tagline. It was also revealed back in April that Carey Elwes would finally be returning to the world of the Jigsaw killer after his mysterious exit from the original film, and you do get a little glimpse of him in this new trailer.

There was once a time when you might have thought that the two top current rival horror franchises were Saw and Final Destination. After a decade or so the deadly duo are still going head-to-head, only now it’s to determine who can come up with the absolute worst possible title for their latest installments. And as you can plainly see for yourself, both are making a valiant effort in obtaining the crown.

At the end of June, it was revealed that the title for the new Final Destination would actually be 5nal Destination. So what could the title of the latest chapter in Jigsaw killer saga be? It could and apparently will be Saw 3D: The Traps Come Alive. Even better — this news from Shock Till You Drop has been confirmed by Lionsgate themselves.

Since the very first Saw movie added a new layer to the horror genre, fans have wondered what happened to Dr. Gordon at the end and where in the hell he went.

Five new chapters in the saga of the twisted mind of the Jigsaw Killer have unfolded since then, and it appears that finally, you may just find out the answers to the questions that you’ve been asking. And since Saw VII is reported to be the last in the series, it’s no surprise that producers look to be swinging for one more home run.

If you read Geeks of Doom, you know I’ve been one of the biggest supporters of a sequel to 1999’s The Boondock Saints for as long as one has been rumored, which is about eleven years now. And from the moment Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day became official, any time anything was released about the movie, I was jumping on it. Various different posts came of it all, including interviews with stars Clifton Collins Jr. and Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus.

Because of my love for the first and my being proud of its Boston roots, that made me a likely biased candidate to review the film when it was released on DVD and Blu-ray, but it was in-fact only fitting that I do so. I did enjoy the movie after all was said and done, but surprisingly, there were also things that I was not a big fan of and I’ll be sure to share them all!

The Boondock Saints Realize The Sins Of ‘Twilight’ & Take Out Robert Pattinson In True Saints Fashion

Saints vs. Twilight

OK, I’ll admit it: this isn’t really news. But in a world where Twilight is everywhere you look and read, stuff like this is needed to keep everyone (me, me!) sane.

Basically, our favorite sibling assassins with hearts of gold, the Boondock Saints (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus), stopped by MTV recently to talk about their long-awaited sequel, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. While there, they were prompted to take part in a small Big Buck Safari challenge. If you do not know what Big Buck Safari games are, if you’ve ever been in an arcade, you’d recognize them as a hunting simulation in which you hold an orange plastic gun and try and hunt for the best deer.

This isn’t the amusing part of the day, though: before leaving, the Saints made sure that they set their superior status in stone by taking a stand-up of The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson and giving it the true McManus brothers treatment for those who have sinned against mankind; that’s right, two shots to the back of the head. All we need now is some audio of them saying their prayer beforehand and some pennies for the eyes and all would be well in the world.
