| Bethesda Explains Why We’re Not Getting ‘Morrowind,’ ‘Oblivion’ Remasters
It was revealed at E3 2016 that a remastered version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was on the way this fall. But, while this news was exciting, many fans of The Elder Scrolls games wondered why Bethesda didn’t remaster some of the older games in the series, such as Morrowind and Oblivion, first. There is a reason for this, and Bethesda VP of marketing Pete Hines shared what it is.

| E3 2016: ‘Skyrim’ Remastered Confirmed; More ‘Fallout 4’ DLC Announced |

One of the announcements that was rumored for Bethesda Softworks’ E3 2016 presentation was a remastered version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. That rumor has indeed been confirmed in a video, which shows the game as it looked on the previous generation of consoles and how shiny new and pretty the Skyrim Special Edition looks remastered on current consoles. The video also confirms that, like Fallout 4, this new console version of Skyrim will have mods. The Special Edition will also be released on PC as well, so this is not just about giving console players an updated version of the game. Speaking of Fallout, before the Skyrim announcement the rest of Fallout 4‘s DLC was announced, including one add-on that will let you build your own vault and basically re-create Fallout Shelter in the game and also one last big one that involves a Nuka-Cola theme park! | ‘Fallout’s Vault Boy vs. ‘Skyrim’s Dragonborn: Who Wins? (Video)
Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls and Fallout video game franchises are two of the biggest and best on the planet, offering not only great games to play but stunning fictional worlds to escape to for countless hours of wandering and adventuring. So what happens when the two worlds collide? In a new video from director Andrew McMurray, Dovahkiin (or Dragonborn) from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim meets a human representation of the Vault-Tec mascot from the Fallout universe, known lovingly as Vault Boy. At the time of their meeting it’s clear they’re not being controlled by players who check to see if someone is friendly before attacking. Much blood is shed.
