| President Obama On Leonard Nimoy’s Passing: ‘I Loved Spock’
Today, the world mourns the death of the great Leonard Nimoy, best known for bringing to life the character of Mr. Spock on Star Trek. The actor had fans far and wide and touched so many people, including U.S. President Barack Obama, who is a self-professed Star Trek fan and has flashed the Vulcan “Live Long and Prosper” salute many times, including when he met Trek star Nichelle Nichols, as well as when he met Spock himself. Earlier today, The White House issued a statement from the President on Nimoy’s passing, where he stated “I loved Spock.”
