| ‘Venom’ Director Ruben Fleischer Gives A Vague Response To Venom And Spider-Man Crossover
If you are still questioning whether or not a film universe full of Spider-Man villains and supporting characters could work without Spider-Man himself, don’t worry, we are too. Venom will still be a story about Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and his relationship with the alien symbiote. And yet, we know none of that would have ever happened without Spider-Man. But as Marvel and Sony agreed to keep those two worlds separate, it looks like Sony plans on expanding the Spider-Man-less universe by having Venom appear in other films. Director Ruben Fleischer took some time off his busy schedule to talk about Venom, and he dropped some hints about the character’s future and possible cameos. More on the story, below.

| E3 2018: First Gameplay From Samurai Game ‘Ghost Of Tsushima’
One of the games shown off during Sony’s PlayStation presentation at E3 2018 was the gorgeous upcoming samurai game Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch Productions, the developer behind the Sly Cooper and Infamous games. During the event an over eight-minute gameplay debut video was shared. The game is set in the year 1274, and follows a samurai who fights back against the Mongol Empire after they attack his home. | E3 2018: First Look At ‘The Last Of Us Part II’ Gameplay
To kick of Sony’s E3 2018 showcase, a new trailer for developer Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II was shown. The trailer begins with a cinematic, which then segues into our very first look at gameplay footage. And brutal gameplay footage it is, as you’d expect from the game. In it Ellie finds herself dealing with a swarm of enemies, utilizing stealth, improvisation, and straight-up blunt force as she moves through the environment trying to survive the nasty encounter. The gameplay trailer is nearly 12 glorious minutes long, and you can watch every second of it below right now.

| Sony’s Spider-Man-Less Universe Spinoff ‘Silver And Black’ Gets Undated
The saga of Sony’s Spider-Man-less Universe spinoffs continues. The series of spinoffs would give Spider-Man supporting characters their own cinematic universe, but without the prominent webslinger. It’s not clear how that would work, but the studio believes that they could create a successful franchise based on these characters. The upcoming Venom film directed by Ruben Fleischer, a dark take on the anti-hero, would be the first. Silver And Black was to be the second. However, new reports are saying that the film has been taken off Sony’s release schedule. More on the story below.
